Estêvão accomodated himself on the team very quickly. Even more so than Endrick did. These kids are used to pressure, they have been considered extra-class talents since they were teenagers and have a lot of support from the club and the professionals around them (including psychological). I believe some time would be required for adaptation, of course. But based on what he's been doing so far (highly regarded as the best player playing in Brazil at the moment), I don't think it should take long for him to earn his place. Perhaps 1 year or so and he should be good to go.

You're welcome! Well, unfourtunately, that's kind of unavoidable . It's just too much money involved, I guess... It's a shame because Palmeiras could be armed with an attacking trio formed by Estêvão, Endrick and Gabriel Jesus right now (all three came from the club's youth academy). It would be a truly powerful attack, especially for South American standards.

Matheus Pereira from Cruzeiro is also a midfielder (one of the best players of the season so far). At Palmeiras, Estêvão plays as a right winger, but he often dribles towards the center to shoot. He is a very complete player, all around. The other guys in the Top 6 of that ranking are, indeed, all centre-forwards.

Estêvão has now reached Neymar's record of 16 goals+assists in the Brazilian League at age 17 (Neymar achieved it in 2009). Only difference is that Estêvão still has 12 matches to go and will very probably finish the season as the player with the most goal involvements in the whole league (right now tied with Flamengo's Pedro, who injured his knee and will miss the rest of the games).

The Brazilian League is BY FAR the best league on the whole American continent. By a LONG distance. And Estêvão is very likely the best player of this league right now (just got called up to the Brazil National Team). It's impossible to overlook what this kid is doing in Brazil at this moment, it's completely ahead of the curve. He is 1 goal/assist from surpassing Neymar in goals participation in the Brazilian League at age 17. Nobody has EVER achieved his numbers in this league at the same age (total of 8 goals and 7 assists up to now, with 13 matches still to go).

Right now, he is very possibly the best player in the whole Beazilian League. It's either him, Pedro (Flamengo) or Matheurs Pereira (Cruzeiro) going for the "Golden Ball", as of this moment (of course things can change up until the 38th round). Estêvão is actually even better than Endrick, who was also INSANELY good before leaving to Real Madrid.

Yes, they are not softening up on him. The opposition already knows what he can do, he is actually being considered for the Brazil national team after the Copa América. It's not just a random kid from the U17 team that has just come up and nobody knows about anymore. Estevão is one of the best wingers playing in Brazil, so they are treating him as such. He'll have to toughen up, there's no way around it. But I believe he should be fine.
