The squad has definitely been improved , its got players who actually want to be here for one.

I really really hope Sanchez doesn’t come back into the team. I think we’ve finally found a keeper that is stable enough to be number 1 and allow us spend elsewhere. I’m not suggesting he’s a wor

There's only two stats which really matter with the passing.  How many of Sanchez's and Petrovich's  passes have played a significant part in us scoring a goal and how many have cost us a goal?  I can

It's going to happen and it will coincide with us giving away silly goals and nobody on the coaching side will understand why.

He came as an unknown, he stepped up when Sanchez was injured and underperforming, he performed well and kept the shirt, only to then be replaced by the underperforming Sanchez before pre-season had even started and now moved on to Strasbourg. Very strange.

Been puzzling me no end... non Chelsea fan media comments grudgingly hinted that perhaps Petr was a short term, at least. answer to the Chelsea keeper issue.

Agree or disagree but I always felt easier with Petr over Sanchez..still do even given his shortcomings at times.

The insane round up ( and shifting on) of "average" keepers and young prospects is mind blowing.

OG moaning,,from a memory of a time when there was a huge pool of top-level English keepers on show every week we seem to have got to a stage where just being "Foreign"is enough to warrant pushing back decent English keepers and buying "outside".

All "outside" keepers are not PC!

I remember reading an article years ago stating in the opinion of the writer that the first USA based players to make it abroad would be Keepers...not too far off as it happened and now Chelsea are "sourcing" MLS !

Petrovich started well but ended up being another weakness in goal. Cost us too many goals with poor judgement on the near post. Made very few saves that were above average ones that he should stop. Kicking not that great either.

Neither Petrovich or Sanchez are the level we need!

Was statically the worst keeper in the league last season, or amongst the worst at the very least.

Could argue he also played in a better looking team that finally managed to score goals, where as Sanchez was part of the early struggles as the group were coming together.

Neither are good enough ultimately, but I this should be a good chance to get a better idea of where Petrovic is.
