My Blood Is Blue Posted July 6, 2024 Author Posted July 6, 2024 So, Southgate doesn’t watch the same matches as anyone else.
My Blood Is Blue Posted July 6, 2024 Author Posted July 6, 2024 Now reported as 343, hopefully that is the case, amazing that Saka still starts though!

Sciatika Posted July 6, 2024 Posted July 6, 2024 Have LInekar and Ferdinand been watching the same game as me? They seem to think it's positive.

Sciatika Posted July 6, 2024 Posted July 6, 2024 (edited) Waited until 75' for the subs. Jesus! (apologies to Christians) Edited July 6, 2024 by Sciatika
ROTG Posted July 6, 2024 Posted July 6, 2024 Either Toney or Watkins will turn the Swiss back line. 1

chara Posted July 6, 2024 Posted July 6, 2024 Interesting that Cole took the first penalty....never in doubt of course but such an important one...just wondered if he was meant to be a Gareth "sacrifice" ?...Master stroke if it worked or finger at media if it didn't ?....probably just a cynical OG pov. 2
Bones Posted July 6, 2024 Posted July 6, 2024 Happy that England won, mixed emotions however. Such boring football… 1 1
chara Posted July 6, 2024 Posted July 6, 2024 Maybe just OG grumpiness but am I the only one getting to dislike Bellingham? Not so much his football..although a bit disappointed so far, but his "attitude" and almost Ronaldo style developing ego? Someone needs to whisper in his ear. 1

Mark Kelly Posted July 6, 2024 Posted July 6, 2024 Sorry to see Turkey exit of all the teams in the latter stages they were the most deserving to go through. A brave side who defended valiantly and attacked with aplomb. 2
jasonb Posted July 6, 2024 Posted July 6, 2024 I think England prefer to face the Netherlands rather than Turkey, they know a lot of the Dutch players. 2

More the case of him getting caught up in the usual OTT uk media coverage of him. However like day and night the uk press they are building him up to shoot him down If Gareth has the gonads to drop the donkey Kane and a couple of others in favour of the team that finished the game last night, we might well see a more positive England to bow the Dutch out of the water 2
Sciatika Posted July 7, 2024 Posted July 7, 2024 For the Dutch, I would stick with three at the back and bench Kane in favour of Toney. ------------------- Pickford ----------Konsa----Stones----Guehi Saka------------Rice-----Mainoo-------Shaw --------Bellingham --------------Foden ----------------------Toney I would look to bring in energy (Palmer, Eze, Gallagher) at 60' not 75' and have Kane and Watkins on the bench if Toney is struggling. Southgate will probably revert to 4-2-3-1 with TTA in midfield, and Trippier on the left. 2
