Maresca has said one game a week for those two, so I very much doubt they'll play any part.

or....they might play this game and not against Newcastle?

I don’t think James and Lavia start, in fact I wouldn’t even make them do the journey. Cotton wool for the paid of them at the moment. I think it’ll be the usual B team with Disasi at RB.

I don’t think they are signed up on this stage of the conference league

Wasn't there something about James only playing one game a week moving forward?

I think he meant they wanted to ease him over a while rather than a permanent situation. I doubt he will play this game, so I expect it will be Malo.

Malo needs a rest, surely Disasi at RB and Tosin and Badiashile in the middle. Veiga on the left.

This makes the Acheampong decision even crazier - Disasi is a terrible RB, he has nowhere near the required mobility. Playing a young player in the Conference League and League Cup would keep Gusto fresh for the league, so he can share minutes with James.

I'd be alright with Cucurella starting at left-back and Veiga at CM with KDH to be honest.  These away games can be tricky and having a bit more nous in the middle could be handy.

I wouldn't even be against 4-3-3 with Casadei - Veiga - KDH in there either.  Then have Neto & Felix playing off Nkunku up top

On the flip side, why invest time into a young player that isn't willing to commit their future here to allow us to continue developing him?

Match is in a 70,000 seater which I assume is sold out with us being in town.

Greek atmospheres are just like Turkish atmospheres (we are similar with them in most things).

Will our Second XI be up for this, it's not going to be some Conference League stroll in the park like the last game.

Agree. I think I might have had Jackson, Caicedo etc on the bench here
