I love her, Jane. I really do.

Join the queue. I am still waiting for a response from my offer of a tea and a biscuit at my place.

True fact.  She's a billionaire in her own right thanks to her ties to Roman.

Are you saying tea and biscuit might not cut it?

My somewhat unreliable hacking resources tell me the conversation was. ."Woah, hang on there a minute, just stall, I think we can find a way to overrule the penalty,,just give us a minute or two, consult the video and we are good to go,"

Couldn't happen could it ?

He definitely lost the plot after awarding that penalty and then overturning it.

Not at all contentious, for years he has been standing there staring in the faces of top teams. I would be very happy if we could nab him.

What's the deal there I wonder?  He's been at Everton ages, they've been largely shite, he constantly saves them - he's been the England no.1 for YEARS now and yet no one has gone in for him? Every top 7-8 team bar Liverpool has had Goalkeeping issues but no one has made Everton an offer.

Seems odd.

Re Pickford, likely other clubs HAVE made bids to sign him but knowing Everton they asked for £100m, a bucket of unicorn tears and six Faberge eggs, whilst turning it into a class war whinge about "money can't buy you x y z" etc.

(whilst conveniently forgetting they paid a lot of money to sign him from Sunderland)

Better make it a Jaffa Cake. Anything could happen then.

I’ll pass that on when she comes out of the shower.🚿😉🤣

Can you get out of her house now . The authorities have been informed and apparently the restraining order is still in place.

Can we also just take a moment to point out how enjoyable it was to see Romeo Lavia in that pairing with Moises Caicedo? Fingers crossed we see a lot more of that.

And Reece's presence and influence in those closing stages was such a welcome sight.  Not flustered, no one gets the better of him physically, total calm with the ball.  Missed that for far too long.

Can you imagine if Roman was allowed back in the place for a game? 🥹

I'd fly over for it just to sing that bloke's name.

More seriously, what a pleasure it was to go to a match and thoroughly enjoy it (except the refereeing). Our defence is starting to look as if they have their shit together - James' influence? - the midfield is solidifying, and an attack worthy of the name. Really looking forward to 10th November now.

The incident didn't even rate a mention on MotD2. It would definitely have been a very soft penalty as the hand grab on Nkunku was very fleeting (certainly a lot softer than the one we didn't get a Anfield last week), but by the letter of the law  it was NOT an incorrect call, so for VAR to get involved was just wrong.

I think it was a pen and I’ll tell you why. It was all about Kukus momentum. He was trying to change direction so not perfectly balanced. That hand of his shoulder, regardless of how fleeting had an effect. And tell me why that player had his hand there? Was he brushing off some dandruff? No he wasn’t. He may even have been using Nkunku to help his own balance and direction change.
If a player feels impeded in the area he has every right to make the most of it. I reckon 90% of penalties given for fowls involve an over reaction from the offended player. It doesn’t not make it a pen.

Another incident that was right infornt of me.

In real time I thought there was no way in a million years it was a penalty. I haven't seen any replays.

Jackson and Palmer have 49 goals and 23 assists between them in the last 42 games.

13 goals and 8 assists in 9 games this season.

They are the best front two in the world right now.

So from my seat yesterday, I had the following:

- Palmer wasn't offside for that early goal. He came in from just behind the defender and that line was drawn as they always are.

- Isak didn't look particularly offside live, but I thought it was going to be checked - and it looked way more offside with the TV replays

- The Nkunku penalty looked really soft live, but the TV replays showed Burn's arms on him and it looked like he got pulled as he went to change direction.

So hard to know what they got right, what they just guessed and what they just made up once again really.  I suspect Palmer's disallowed goal was the last option

Another step in the right direction.  Played really well in spells but we're quite poor in the second half. Had to hang on a bit and you could see what it meant to the players at the final whistle. Been a lot of people question the mentality of this squad but three seems to be a real togetherness about them which will only grow.

We have 2 centre half's that love defending, are happy to put their bodies on the line and celebrate like mad when they make a last ditch tackle, block or clearance,  I love to see it. We have world class full back, a world class CM in Caicedo and the best front two in world football.

A very good weekend overall with literally everyone around us dropping points and a performance from us that really showed how we are coming together as a team of footballers and as a collective group that seem to be really enjoying playing for us and cleary want to win.

Some of Jackson's play with his back to goal was absolutely top class. The assist for Palmer's disallowed goal was fantastic. They showed a clip in the analysis on MotD2 but noone ncommented on the skill he showed.
