  • Can't be bothered with the, no doubt, negativity, that's gonna follow that on my long journey home. 10 games. 4th place. Above Arsenal, United, Tottenham, Villa and Newcastle.  Fai

  • It’s away, it’s United, they have new manager bounce. We are top 4.  I’ll take it.

He won't say it out loud but Mason Mount must be ruing the day he ever left Chelsea.  It's been a total disaster for him and what with all the injuries?  That never happened with us.

It seems like Mount and Hazard are our karma payback for taking on busted flushes Shevchenko and Torres in the past. Finally players give Chelsea their best years and then move on.

@JaneB...I believe what @chiswickblue meant was although they were both good for Chelsea, Eden exceedingly so, they both failed to impress for many reasons at the clubs they moved to. Balancing in part the crocked, in some way or other, bad buys mentioned.

My good side 👼says I wish they both had done better,,Mason still might regain form,,look at Sancho, and it is impossible I think for any TrueBlue to wish Eden anything but the best.

My less reputable side😈 is secretly glad we had the best of them both and sniggers occasionally at Manure.

The irony also being that he'd probably not even get into our team as it stands had he remained.

Hopefully his miserable run at United long continues.

Combine that with the Sky Sports 4 hour pre-game about "a new dawn for Man Utd" and it's going to be so fun.

Palmer's going to destroy them.  We'll be fine.

(Someone's got to say it anyway)

Not really sure he can do much in a couple of days. We owe them there.

3-1 Chels.

It's the lift it'll give them and the added impetus to show the new boss that they're not as crap as everyone thinks they are .

Yeah, this is my fear now. First game under a new manager at home, so I expect to see them player like they’ve not played for months under Ten Hag. We could really do with Ruud still being in charge.

Our boys will need to be on it and from the first whistle as well. If we can get at them early, grab an early goal and control possession, then I think we’ll be ok, but if we give the home fans any reason to get excited and the players to sniff a chance of an upset, then we’ll be in trouble. So keep the ball away from Sanchez and give it to Palmer as much as possible.

Another big game.

@My Blood Is Blue...maybe they should switch Palmer and Sanchez?....at least playing the ball out from the back would be good!...and who knows..Sanchez might confuse Manure as much as he confuses his team mates (and us,)🤠🦕🦖

Anorim to stay in Portugal until after the international break so we may be safe this time around.

That seems pretty unlikely if he's taking the job doesn't it? Why wouldn't he start now and why would United accept that?

If he's coming, it's going to be in the next week isn't it?

I think it may be a negotiating/compensation position. How much does the disruption of losing a manager cost?

For those older than Cole Palmer, here is a reminder of the game at OT in May 2005,  in which Ruud scored the opener and Thiago scored "that goal." Blues won 1-3 in the end (Thiago, Gudjohnson, Cole). Palmer would have been three years old.

I’d happily take a score line like that on Sunday!
