Please use this thread for all posts relating to our Premier League match against Leicester City at the King Power Stadium before, during and after the game.

It will be nice to have a (on paper) a more straightforward game after the run we have had in the league. The last one we had was West Ham, 2 months ago, and maybe Forest H (though looking at how they've gone that could be argued a tough game to).

Maresca returning to his old club, is how this match was sold, but we just need to ignore that and treat it for what it is, a match against a team we should and really must beat.

Hopefully, no injuries in another pointless international break and we can be fully firing for this one.

Please start Nkunku and play Neto off the right and Madueke off the bench.

Nkunku on the wing? Not for me.

Could endorse Neto on the left, Palmer on the right and Nkunku in the 10.

I was thinking Nkunku up front with Neto on the right, Palmer at 10 and either Sancho on the left if he's fit and if not give Mudryk a start.

I know Nkunku isn't really a 9, but against Leicester him and Palmer can interchange and do a lot of damage.

Looking at our next 11 games, you have Villa at home and Spurs away in there. The other 9 are all very winnable.

I fully believe both Villa and Spurs are winnable too.... 😁

100% agree, but the other 9 are all games we will start as clear very favourites.

The first half of the season was always going to be split into three parts for me. Excluding City we had a very nice run of games. We had to start well, which we did.

We then had to not loose too much ground when we played Liverpool, Newcastle, United and Arsenal. We gained 4 points on Arsenal and moved above them. One on Villa. Tottenham have gained a point on us. United and Newcastle 2. I think overall most people would take this scenario after those 4 games.

So after 11 games, which alot of the doomsayers said we would have to wait until to form an opinion,  although most of them were happy to write the manager off during pre season it is a good yardstick to be fair. After 10 games you should be seeing what's what or at least have some signs.

We are 3rd and have played 6 teams that currently sit in the top 10, plus gone to Old Trafford which is our biggest bogey grounds, we havent won there in 13 years. The next 11 games takes us right up to the end of January before we play City.

The games are Leicester(A), Villa(H), Southampton (A), Tottenham (A), Brentford(H), Everton(A), Fulham(H), Ipswich(A), Palace(A), Bournemouth(H), Wolves(H)

In that same period;

Liverpool play, City, Fulham, Forest, Newcastle, Everton, Tottenham and United.

City play Tottenham, Liverpool,  United and Villa.

Arsenal play United, Tottenham, Villa and Brighton.

Villa play Chelsea, Forest, City, Newcastle, Arsenal and  Brighton.

Tottenham play City, Fulham, Chelsea, Liverpool,  Forest, Newcastle and Arsenal.

United play Arsenal, Forest,  City, Newcastle, Liverpool,  Brighton.

I've never really been one to do points targets, I find it pretty pointless. My good friend RobertOfTheGiz is obsessed and thinks that being 3rd instead of 10th at this stage isn't really much of an Improvement as it's only 4 points more but I care far more about the league table position as opposed to how many points we get. Last year we got 63 and 6th. If we get 62 and 4th I'll be more than happy. One thing I will predict is I don't think anyone will have a 90+point season so less points will probably get you higher up the table.

So, in summary, and not wanting to predict how many points we will get, considering how we've started and who we've already played I think it's fair to be pretty optimistic that we could be in a fairly healthy position by the time we play City on the 25th January.

I just watched the FAC game against Leicester and the Raheem Sterling masterclass. Blocks Mudryk's shot on target, wins and misses penalty, and then through one-on-one and misses. The game was mainly memorable for the DIsasi brain freeze, where he scored a rare long-distance own-goal and two lovely goals from Carney and Noni to wrap it up.
