My Blood Is Blue Posted December 5, 2024 Posted December 5, 2024 Please use this thread for all posts relating to our Premier League match against Brentford at Stamford Bridge before, during and after the game. The match is scheduled to kick off at 19:00 hours on Sunday, 15th December 2024 (Local UK time/date)
My Blood Is Blue Posted December 5, 2024 Author Posted December 5, 2024 What is the kick-off time all about?! Why make us play a non-televised match at 7pm on a Sunday?!
My Blood Is Blue Posted December 9, 2024 Author Posted December 9, 2024 Neto will miss this one due to suspension (5 yellow cards), so a chance for Madueke in the league again.

How the heck did Neto have enough playing time to amass 5 yellow cards ?..for a player with no aggressive record as such ? Anyone able to break the "justification" for the cards down ?

But last Europa week, the Villa game stayed at Sunday 13:30 kick off, live on Sky Sports. Funny that.
chrisb Posted December 9, 2024 Posted December 9, 2024 We’ve never beaten Brentford in the league at The Bridge, time for that to change I hope. 2

Take your point but whatever else is happening at the back at any time it isn't "sitting back"!... Headless chicken images and blind panic comes to mind at one extreme...out of body experiences as well mixed with brain farts,,the occasional casual brilliance and an increase in our collective BP! 1 2 1

My Blood Is Blue Posted December 12, 2024 Author Posted December 12, 2024 Based on the team that played tonight, I think it’s safe to presume Badiashile and Colwill will start for this one, but with Colwill on the right of the pairing. Madueke will come in for the suspended Neto and so the big decision Maresca has is who makes up the 2 in midfield… It has to be Caicedo plus 1 and although Lavia has been brilliant this season, Enzo is in such good form, it has to be him. Another big game, although a strange kick off time, but let’s hope the boys are on it and we get another 3 points. 1 1
east lower Posted December 13, 2024 Posted December 13, 2024 Well, I suppose this game is another first - first time for me going to a Chelsea match with a Sunday evening kick-off. Not one that is particularly welcoming for me. As someone else has already stated, down to the CL fixture yesterday. Brentford thus far appear to be two different teams, based on their home and away performances. Hope it stays that way. Possibly no Lavia and that will be a massive miss against this team, weakens our competitiveness in midfield and the ability to receive the ball in deep areas and transitioning it through midfield. Will be interesting to see (if Lavia doesn’t feature) how others performances are effected. 1

Given his recent record of injury, wouldn’t surprise me for us not to take the chance. 1
Sciatika Posted December 13, 2024 Posted December 13, 2024 The Press Conference did not have team news. Maresca must be knackered. Gayle(?) and Sirayah Shiraz asked lots of questions. It must be unusual to have only women reporters. There are decent questions, though, especially Sirayah, a CFC fan with links to the Foundation and Paul Canoville's charity.

Semi was played at Villa park because Fulham complained they wouldn't have enough seats if it was played at Highbury. Got moved to VP on a Sunday night and they didn't sell their allocation. Fuming.

And there were major roadworks on the M40, took about twice as long as normal getting back. My lad fell asleep just before getting on the M6 and woke up as we were pulling up on the driveway, 4hrs later and said “that was quick dad” 👿 59 minutes ago, paulw66 said: Seemed alright in the second half last week! chara Posted December 13, 2024 Posted December 13, 2024 I wonder (hope) that the HT subbing off was a double precaution,,the nasty elbow attack non foul plus a question of a twinge?
