The match is scheduled to kick off at 20:00 hours on Thursday, 19th December 2024 (Local UK time/date) (Live on TNT Sports)

One for the kids again I think. We have a few injuries now and Cucurella will be suspended for Everton, so we need to make sure all those that are planned to be available and used for Everton are watching from home with a nice hot chocolate and blanket.

I don't think they will. It's up to ours fans, in vast majority in the stands, to outsing the visiting fans.

I can think of a few more but they’re not very politically correct so will refrain from writing them on here!

Still don’t get how this format works. Is it top eight qualify then we’re quarter finalists in a random draw? So after this game it’s just two more matches to get to the final?

As we qualify it is last 16, quarter finals and so on. So six games to reach final.

So, after this week, we won't be playing again until March 2025. I suppose the B team will focus on the FA Cup, with one fixture in January, one in February, two in March, one in April and the final in May, assuming we get that far.

Looking forward to seeing Chilly again in the FA Cup games. The only game he played was the 3rd Round League Cup game.

Eh if people like Nkunku, Felix and Neto can score several goals between them, it just keeps their momentum going and might just ensure they are that slightly sharper and attuned for if we need to call upon them in the PL games.

Neto will surely go back into the team vs Everton though, we look better with him than Madueke at the moment.

I agree with @paulw66, the team for this one should be whoever is left over after picking the team and players we'll want to use from the bench vs Everton.

Yes that's probably fair enough, because I'm going to the game I'm trying to will it to be a bit higher tier of a team than it probably needs to be practically haha

I think it should be Madueke starting against Everton. He was still good last good and Neto can come off the bench if needed. Also he got too many stupid yellow cards, so it's chance for Madueke.

Shame we dropped out of Carabao Cup. But it's the players' responsibility, they could have had more games to play and prove themselves.

I felt frustrated by Madueke while watching the last game, but then it wasn't until watching the highlights I realised he set up Cucu for the opening goal. He just needs to be a bit more ruthless and he will be as prolific of a goal scorer and assist maker as Palmer. He just feels a bit shy sometimes.

So so so many chances went begging that day. We went 2-0 down like at Spurs and probably played about as well but just didn't hit back quick enough to turn the momentum and tide against Newcastle.

The League Cup match is the one that would have got rearranged I reckon, UEFA would have made their schedule take precedence. Probably would have been slotted into last week while all the EL/CL games were on.
