I live in Ipswich and go to most of their home games. If the Chelsea wide men are fit and on point that will be the key. Ipswich have been particularly weak down their right since major injuries to Tuanzebe and Ogbene so Sancho should fancy his chances.  Davis is the left back and key to their attack so the pace of Noni or Neto should be effective to pin him back or exploit any space he leaves behind.

The only real concern is Delap who is so powerful and can bully any defender in the league when on song. Keep an eye out for ex-Chelsea boy Hutchinson who is still learning but a delight to watch on his day.

It’ll be interesting to see what happens with Delap in January or the Summer, as I imagine a few will come in for him, possibly us being one of them.

I just got a ticket for myself for this today, which should be a point of excitement but it was a rather frustrating ordeal.

There were some returns luckily, although I don't understand how as away matches are not returnable? (Unless it's people on the away scheme that didn't take their allocation?).

Really annoyed though, was initially trying to get 2 tickets (one for me and my Dad) and the website was giving me stupid errors that didn't make sense "you are trying to buy 4 tickets" no I wasn't.

So then I thought let's try 1 by 1, I got a ticket for me and then tried for my Dad and it gave another stupid error "The transaction ID for this has already been fulfilled" (I definitely used the correct memberships). Then I kept trying and trying and the 2nd ticket wouldn't go through.

So happy as I haven't gone to an away game since we got pummeled by Brighton 4-1 a few years ago, but a bit of a sour taste in the mouth that my Dad can't come (unless we get lucky with more returns in the days ahead).

I went to that. Miserable day!

Happily, I went back last year when we won 2-1

Returns come from the Club Chelsea 20% allocation, any unused tickets from their cut that aren't taken up come back to sale for STH/Members

Yep, I questioned them about it and they replied to me:
"If we do happen to receive any returns, they could come from various sources such as hospitality, supporters’ clubs, directors, or other outlets. In such cases, these tickets will be made available online at any given point."

I didn't realise Club Chelsea got a 20% allocation for away games. That starts to explain why some of the away crowds I have been to in the last 10 years haven't been as good as the ones I went to the previous 10 years.

Now that I know about this will keep a keen eye on the ticket page going forward for any away games I fail to get during the initial on sale date. For this Ipswich one it was pure luck, I was actually looking out for Fulham returns and spotted them.

Yep - bit of a joke the amount they get but guess they get the option thrown in to encourage people to take Hospitality

We're also the only PL club to give members the chance at away tickets...wouldn't be surprised to see the members allocation (40% of what's left after Club Chelsea, supports clubs, player/director comps) reduced

It's a big game for the manager and the players this one, they need to put out a statement win. I think Maresca needs to make some changes for this one, although with the injuries he has limited choices, unfortunately. I would go with:

I think Nkunku has to start, Jackson was poor in the last couple and he can't be seen as untouchable, especially given the performances Nkunku put in when playing in the Conference League.

Honestly I wish he would just throw on Nkunku and Felix earlier. I remember when they had a good chunk of time against Forest at home and they fashioned so many chances that day (we probably deserved to win the game with that spell). Haven't seen that attempted again in the PL. Even in the League Cup game against Newcastle they both looked great and fashioned many chances and were unlucky not to score a couple each.

Given that Palmer is only taken off if we're winning by 3 goals I'd like to see Nkunku get a chance in place of Enzo Fernandez. He's played the 8/10 role in the past and their levels of pressing are similar!

A lot is being made of the Madueke no-show. To me the whole story is a diversion, arguably a useful one for Enzo Maresca. The the real problem which is that other teams seem to have found us out, and Maresca must come up  with the antidot.  We lost against Fulham not because Madueke wasn't playing but because we had the wrong tactics or not tactics at all. If the diversion p helps Maresca  to focus on the real problem then that's not too bad at the end, as we could lose to Ipswich if he's not careful

I don’t think teams have found us out. If teams have found us out that would mean we only play one way, which I don’t believe to be true and I actually think Maresca has done well to adapt tactics to fit the opposition in most matches this season.

We can’t win every game, so a draw and a defeat is far from the end of the world, especially due to the run of wins we had before it.

If we win tomorrow is it crisis over or is it just because we ‘should’ beat Ipswich anyway?

The majority,if not all, members on here are acutely aware of the weakness' of the present side and the strengths.

When the weakness' show and the strengths don't quite reach the necessary match day requirement then "bad" results occur, (A basic truth in any side of course) The "luck/bounce" factor is always there as well

Maresca is quite right and blunt about the side's present progress and in our less stressed moments I believe we all agree to one degree or another.

Chelsea are well placed for a top four spot and we would do well to keep our expectations in perspective and focus,,should the Football Gods somehow conspire to allow Chelsea to be Champions then a thing to rejoice over but in truth we all.I think, know in our hearts Chelsea are not the finished product and as such not true contenders.

The cliched one game at a time..to enjoy the progress of a very young side..accept the defeats and take pleasure from the victories,,(and that so sweet left foot!)

Ipswich?...no complacentcy please...every side is trying to win or under pressure not to lose.

As in life..There are no Free Lunches!!!

Usual aside, just thoughts,,Nkunku's injury last season was supposed to have been a factor in goal scoring or the lack...sorry but I don't see him as the answer as things stand...maybe it's attitude or the sulks..I don't know but his goals in mini Europe are lauded but TSL doesn't get the same plaudits?  He is young and raw but there is something there and no sulks. (Biased I am)
