New member Introduction

Hi,

 

My name is Bobby and im new here! Im an Irish man and Chelsea fan for over 20 years now. Was at Villa 3-0 recently , was my first game since 2-2 with Liverpool when TT was in charge because Ive been living in Vancouver! Not sure if this is allowed on the forum but wondering if this forum is ever used to purchase tickets. Im a chelsea member but because I cant make it to smaller midweek games (ie conference league/Carabao) I am finding it impossible to buy chelsea tickets due to my low loyalty points. 

 

If this is allowed I would love to chat to someone about buying tickets for Leicester on March 8th and Everton on April 26th.

Hi @Bobby, welcome to the forum!

You can’t buy or sell tickets on here, but we have plenty of member that I’m sure will be able to help point you in the right direction to help find some, if at all possible.

Cheers for the Welcome! Thats no worries- Hopefully someone can help me out! Its a shame how expensive the touts sell tickets on for especially when paying for flights over and accom!

Good to have you back Pete. Pretty much everything was scrapped, but we're back up an running now! Thanks mainly to Jane and Sam.

Yep, as Michael said, the previous owners deleted the whole forum and database without warning about 2 years ago.

They had left the thing to fall apart years before that anyway, as they didn’t touch anything behind the scenes, no updates, no anything and nobody that was still on the site (mods included) had any admin access to be able to do anything. For a really long period, we couldn’t have any new members register because of issues that had come up on the back end, that nobody could easily get to and fix. @Michael Tucker and @JaneB did a wonderful job of keeping the old forum going for as long as possible and I stepped in to help as well, mainly to try and get it sorted for new members to join, which we did get sorted.

Then, as I said, one day they just deleted the whole thing, old data, user data, everything just gone and unrecoverable. Tried various ways of getting it back, tried tracking down the owners, but no luck… so we rebuilt and started again, because we had a relatively small, but loyal and brilliant group on the forum and we wanted to keep it going. 2 years on, the forum is in a better shape that it’s been for years, as we’re actually able to keep it updated and working properly.

It's probably a good thing that you started again the old forum was 1gb at least with an archive of at least that size. Both taking up a lot of. resources and making it all clunky. I might have the old file somewhere but it might be best to be left alone.

@Peter Sampson funnily enough I sent you a direct message on here a couple of days ago asking about any access or contacts you may have to the original site. I’d be really keen to get hold of anything you may have to see if we can get it or at least some it uploaded here somehow.
