Mark Kelly Posted January 7 Posted January 7 Quite a good side Bournemouth, this will not be easy and we simply must win. 1

Yep, need a win, any way. Glorious 5-0 win or a dodgy 1-0 smash and grab, I don’t really care, just need those 3 points. 1 6

thevelourfog Posted January 8 Posted January 8 (edited) Clashes with my son's birthday so have sold my ticket. First home game I'm missing this year. My absence has typically throughout my life corresponded with good results, although the last two years were an exception ... Bournemouth are probably second to Fulham in being the most impressed I've been by an opponent this season. They were really very good when we played them earlier in the season and were unfortunate to lose. Can't say I've watched much more of them since but their results and position suggest that was no exception. This will be a really hard game. I think we remain at heart hostages to fortune, flying when something happens to go our way and crumbling when the opposite happens. Spurs are just Spurs, afterall. Please, a lucky bounce or deflection in the first 20 minutes that sets a trajectory ... Edited January 8 by thevelourfog 4
My Blood Is Blue Posted Saturday at 20:59 Posted Saturday at 20:59 Must win, have to win, don't care how, just win. Win. I hope Lavia is fit enough for this one and if he is, he should start, with Enzo on the bench and on in the second half. I wouldn't start James next, he needs to be really slowly integrated into the team. 1

If Madueke was just ill, he may start, and I think he's much more of an attacking threat than Neto. If there's something more sinister going on, we may soon have space for Estevao. I remember Mudryk was "ill" and KDH has also recently been "ill".

So it will be interesting to see if he’s picked because that will be a miraculous recovery.
asvaberg Posted Monday at 11:25 Posted Monday at 11:25 (edited) Nice: "Enzo Maresca has confirmed Reece James, Romeo Lavia and Noni Madueke are all fit and available to face Bournemouth at Stamford Bridge tomorrow evening." Edited Monday at 11:25 by asvaberg 1
asvaberg Posted Monday at 11:28 Posted Monday at 11:28 So, maybe: Sanchez Reece - Tosin - Colwill - Cucurella Caicedo - Lavia Madueke - Palmer - Felix The President

It could also be a fairly nasty to deal with tactical switch with 25-30 left to put Felix on at #10 and move Palmer over to the right. Not sure i'd relish that if I was part of a back 4 2
chiswickblue Posted Monday at 13:38 Posted Monday at 13:38 It's good to hear from Maresca that we won't be dropping a player because of his taste in music. This coming from the same club that made a racist the captain.
Sciatika Posted Monday at 13:45 Posted Monday at 13:45 A loss here will feel like a kick in the Cherries. 3
