United losing against Arsenal means we probably only need 1 win to guarantee Conference.

For Europa we need Newcastle to draw 1 game (they play United) and win both our remaining games or if United beat them then 1 win, 1 draw is enough.

Both assume City beat United in the FA Cup.

I think we will get Europa.

City to win the Cup and the League and open up a 5th CL place and we will get one of the next two EL places.

Of course we need to finish higher than Utd and we have a 3pt advantage.

  2. Utd had form for leaks before MM went there, Utd's team sheet being shared to the media under Mourinho and then that thing with LVG being sacked at the final.

  3. Despite our scoreline WHU hit the woodwork three times and blasted at least one chance wide.

Poch seems to have us scoring regularly and is getting confidence back into players we thought must leave, that has to be good.

    Lets see how we finish,

  4. Exceptional now need to focus on Spurs and see what transpires on the last day.

Another week where the excitement builds as to who is going to deliver, personally think we will come up short yet you have to go for it.

  5. I actually thought CHO was decent as a utility player for us yet decision taken to move him on.

Have to say he looks a lot happier at Forest though with 6 goals is not sensational by any means perhaps just ordinary for a wide front man.  He does score 'goal of the month' contenders which help his profile.

I agree  £3.5 m is low, I wonder  what was happening with FFP back then............

I think even the doom-mongers will have to admit that this season was much better than last.

FFP is the big cloud hanging over us though. It's clear we need to keep Chalobah and Gallagher, but Kepa and Lukaku potentially returning will be problematic too with their huge wages.

I'm indifferent to Pochettino, but paying compensation for him to leave and getting nobody necessarily better means I'd like him to see out his contract.

I'd like to keep the five centre-backs and Fofana to come back from loan as a reserve CF challenging Jackson. Maybe we could see similar improvement to what Arsenal showed a few seasons ago when they were in a similar situation wondering whether to sack Arteta and not making any major signings.

I agree on replacing Poch, money lost and no guarantee anyone else will improve us.

Hopefully the Kings of Madrid get their wallet out for Kepa seems strange them having a player on loan given their public image.

Lukaku will be interesting as he gets older and probably slower, how will this play out.

I would think we would be better to let Enzo go as long as we are confident in Santos or another that with injuries they can step in.

Think we need another no.9 option with different skill set from Jackson, I say this as he is limited yet hardworking and we do not  have a decent sub.

    Hopefully we move on Sterling,

Impressed with Chalobah recently would like him to stay.

Can we count on long term injuries????

If james continues to be crocked we need cover for Gusto and not a central back, please.

  7. We normally beat this lot even when our form is bad and I would expect this to continue though this is not a normal season.

Spurs are not playing badly yet they usually come unstuck against us.

Might come down to who is fit on the day.

I am always impressed by John McGinn. He's the kind of player you'd love to have on your own side and hate to play against.

I also think McGinn has been a good player for them too.

Then you have the younger talents like Jacob Ramsay.

It is funny how so much blame has been laid at the owners' feet when it is statistically clear that changing a manager makes the most significant difference in a team's performance. Roman Abramovich was called all sorts of names - interfering, clueless, anti-football, wasteful, every time the team underperformed. Yet, the next season, a manager turns up and wins a big trophy with the same squad, and there is silence but only until performance drops, and it's Abramovich's fault again.

The strongest evidence that the Chelsea squad is weak comes from its performance under Pochettino, just as Steven Gerrard showed that Villa's squad was poor until Unai Emery turned up and showed that their squad was good. I rest my case.

I take it you do realise Villa have added to the squad since Gerrard left, Leon Bailey, Pau Torres and Lucas Digne.

  10. You gotta feel for Emma her season seems to be a parallel of Klopp's.

She can still win the league yet the team needs to be on its best level and for a while barring the first leg of Barca we have not been consistently as good as previous seasons.

Think without Ramirez taking up defenders James struggled to make an impact as she was closed down so well.

We won not because Drogba was a great player but because Bayern bottled in the last minute and on pens. Didn’t really count as a win tbh - we’ve only won one UCL really.

I would say that was different.

Arguably Di Matteo got us to the final by playing some clever defensive tactics notbaly against Barcelona yet in both matches we had exceptional players that refused to give up even in adversity and produce great performances.

TT's football was more measured and tactical

Yet against City, Jackson does not score that chance yet Havertz did because he had a couple of better attributes.

We finished SIXTH in 2012 Bobbly!!! SIXTH!!! 🤦‍♂️

We won the CL because Tuchel is a brilliant manager in the Champions League and we had some brilliant players that season (Mendy, Rudiger, Kante, Jorginho and more).

Tuchel clearly knows how to go up against Guardiola and match him.

Or yes we got lucky because City didn't show up on the day. Meanwhile the 2012 team was unlucky because Bayern were so brilliant that day. Last I am talking about luck and this topic.

Have a great day my friend 💙

We won not because TT was a great manager yet because for 64 minutes Pep thought he did not need a defensive midfielder. After getting the early goal we kept them out yet we won by the smallest margin.

My main issue with Poch last night, was making as many changes to the back 4 as he did... why take out Chalobah and Silva?! We were forced into Gusto not playing, so then keep the rest of the back 4 that have been playing together recently. We have been destroyed by injuries this season, which has disrupted us massively and not allowed us to build up the consistency in the selection that is needed, however, last night was self-inflicted and everyone has seen Badiashile's form this season, he shouldn't be being considered for selection at the moment at all.

I agree ans suspect the medical team decided at 39 Silva needed a rest, otherwise it seems unexplainable.

Right back without Gusto was always going to be an issue and they took advantage.

I think precisely when Pochettino would potentially be replaced is very important as if it happened now it would contribute another negative 10 mill or so to this year's very precarious accounts.

I think the same I would hope we have a productive squad overhaul yet we will be hauled over hot coals as most will know our predicament.

I think Solanke with Palmer would be  a great combination though doubt the former would come.

I just saw that after the game Pochettino blamed the result on the players “inconsistency”, as if the outcome had nothing to do with him.

It’s pathetic to throw the players under the bus like that when it was clear to everyone before the game that his team selection and tactics that followed were inviting disaster. Any half competent manager wouldn’t expose the players like that. How have the Board allowed this disaster to carry on?

The Board made a mistake in hiring him and they’ve made things worse by not firing him sooner. They are just as responsible for this shambles.

He is not telling it how it is because other teams would take advantage, last league match we won 6-0.

Different players and at home  then, last night lack of squad strength.
