  1. We normally beat this lot even when our form is bad and I would expect this to continue though this is not a normal season. Spurs are not playing badly yet they usually come unstuck against us. Might come down to who is fit on the day.
  2. I also think McGinn has been a good player for them too. Then you have the younger talents like Jacob Ramsay.
  3. Wasn't there when we played at Villa park under Gerard, I checked on Bounderfriardale site.
  4. I take it you do realise Villa have added to the squad since Gerrard left, Leon Bailey, Pau Torres and Lucas Digne.
  5. You gotta feel for Emma her season seems to be a parallel of Klopp's. She can still win the league yet the team needs to be on its best level and for a while barring the first leg of Barca we have not been consistently as good as previous seasons. Think without Ramirez taking up defenders James struggled to make an impact as she was closed down so well.
  6. I would say that was different. Arguably Di Matteo got us to the final by playing some clever defensive tactics notbaly against Barcelona yet in both matches we had exceptional players that refused to give up even in adversity and produce great performances. TT's football was more measured and tactical Yet against City, Jackson does not score that chance yet Havertz did because he had a couple of better attributes.
  7. We won not because TT was a great manager yet because for 64 minutes Pep thought he did not need a defensive midfielder. After getting the early goal we kept them out yet we won by the smallest margin.
  8. I also think CFC management is insisting Poch plays Fernandez as he is a WC winner and that is another factor. Poch would never come out and admit that.
  9. I agree ans suspect the medical team decided at 39 Silva needed a rest, otherwise it seems unexplainable. Right back without Gusto was always going to be an issue and they took advantage.
  10. I think the same I would hope we have a productive squad overhaul yet we will be hauled over hot coals as most will know our predicament. I think Solanke with Palmer would be a great combination though doubt the former would come.
  11. He is not telling it how it is because other teams would take advantage, last league match we won 6-0. Different players and at home then, last night lack of squad strength.
  12. Having no Palmer is certainly a blow yet magnified by Gusto being out too. Yes Chalobah can play RB yet he is terrible up against fast dribbling wide men who will turn him inside out, cue Martnelli.
  13. I suspect the Haaland sale, and I suspect Swiss Bank accts were used. Now do the football authorities have the clout to get Interpol to crack Swiss Bank secrecy, I know the US government did this for US citizens using Swiss Bank accounts yet that is the biggest global power not a football association.
  14. I think the officials favour the big clubs on decisions, also players like Walker are England nailed-on starters and Pep will likely go ballistic if his player is sent off. Don't think refs want that grief, unfortunately it becomes herd mentality. Was watching Utd yesterday and the amount of holding Maguire was doing on Sims off the ball was surprising and nothing given.
  15. I thought two were marginal and was nailed on. I thought Grealish's handball was more of a penalty than the Coventry's one yet different officials.
  16. He was good under Conte with the angled runs as a WB as a RB is less effective offensively yet he wins a corner there, So we keep them under pressure.
  17. Pep's blown it again! Also we still have some bragging rights left against Arsenal too. Now we need Poch to keep the lads ticking over for Saturday though I still think City are strong favourites.
  18. Good morale booster before we meet Pep and Co.
  19. There was once with Drogba though just the once I remember.
  20. I remembered this from pre-match as I have some odd relatives too. Did you get to watch it after all?
  21. It would be interesting to see Jackson Mudryk Palmer Madueke The only issue is we lose Gallagher unless he drops into M/F.
  22. Listening to the pundits yesterday on UTD saying it is chaos football and this is also said of us. Southgate has also now gone 4-2-3-1. With the amount of forward pressing leads to the defensive weakness and in our case not helped by missing Colwill, Chillwell and Gusto. Using Madueke means Palmer has to move more central where he is less effective and Jackson had a shocker probably should have taken him off 20 mins earlier. A bad day at the office, we move on.
  23. Went for the win then saw the line-up and confidence levels dropped. Had a feeling Sterling would score today............
  24. Nice to beat that lot from Manchester and now the media pressure swing is towards Ten Hag.
