What's worse is when Sutton says on commentary "he's got to get that on target".

I think back to watching him trip over the ball with only the keeper to beat.

Sutton couldn't trap a dead rat in a phone box

Him, Dale Jasper and Chris Sutton are lucky there was no social media back in the day.

They had some stinkers between them.

Sinclair was a good defender on his day but Dale Jasper couldn't defend a sandcastle,  as we saw at Sunderland in 1985 when he gave away two penalties which cost us a day out at Wembley.  As for Chris Sutton, if we put a plank up front the plank would have done a better job!  An absolute donkey and that is an insult to donkey, and ditto Tony Cascarino.

Might be a very entertaining game to witness.

Both sides keep the ball on the green stuff and attempt to play through the midfield.

Be interesting to watch how we try to play through their defensive lines. Width I suspect could be crucial, trying to attack their full backs. Don’t know if the chap Estupinian (spelling??) is going to be fit, because he seems to make a big difference to their performances this season.

Tricky place to drive or train it to at the best of times, so if you’re going to the game give it plenty of time.

I hate the A23 with a passion, it's more often than not buggered.  Not to mention the bloody awful M25 as well.  Never been by train there though.  Let's hope we don't buy anymore of their overrated players, we seem to get our pants pulled down every time we sign a player from them.

  4. Sat what you like about this team, band keeps going till the very end.  The leaky defence is a worry though and Poch will  have to fix that problem for next season.  I was screaming "Get Jackson off, he's doing absolute;y FA", but thankfully Poch didn't listen to me!  Palmer again the top man, great assist for the first goal.  Let's now hope we win our next two games and see what happens.

When are PSG going.  to learn, they’re not allowed to win the champions league.

They just try to play Fantasy Football in real life, and every year their UCL ambitions end in tears.  I Particularly hated them the when they had that big tosser Ibrahimovic playing for them, always shouting his mouth off and always crashing and burning in spectacular style.

We'll win this.  The only thing a David Moyes team gets from the Bridge is the team bus back home.  (Hopefully I haven't jinxed us).

Don't you just love it when that happens?

  7. Erik 10p, a two bob manager.  David Moyes leaving West Ham as well, but I don't understand what people see in Loptegui, Wolves were a dull team to watch under him if they want so=called entertaining football, he'll  probably be another Pellegrini,  a vanity appointment.  As for the poor man's Frank Lampard, (Mount), I don't know whether to laugh or cakle at his demise, as boratsbrother said earlier, he's bcoming another Delle Alli,  who was a right arrogant little shit in his pomp, letting all the hype get to his head.

  8. Ipswich on the brink of promotion after yesterdays win, and I am very happy for them, they've been out of the Prem for so long, and I remember their great sides of the late '70's early '80's with Thijsssen, Muhren, Wark, Mariner et al.    Don't mind WBA, Saints or Norwich coming back but if Leeds come back up, I hope we pay them back for that beating which was for me the beginning of the end for Tuchel.

Mmm. But Lamps is a shocking manager. I think Jose would love to come home and we know he’s still an ace coach. 🧡🧡🧡

He isn't an ace coach anymore.  He's past it Finished.  Finito.  Kaputt. His stint at Roma wasn't all that.  As the old saying goes "If you leave you  should never come back".  It's never quite the same same second time around.  The 2014.15 model IMHO was the least impressive of all our title wins by some distance, in the second half of that season we struggled to beat a poor Man U and Palace sides and limped over the line.  A third spell would be a disaster, like Howard Kendall's at Everton in the late '90's.

  10. Magnificent servant, we managed to get three and a half good years out of him, after signing him at the age of 36.  However, watching him going forward at set pieces is the equivalent of a laxative, I fear he may have to catch a bus to get back into position!  Thanks Thiago for all the memories, and good luck with your next adventure, whatever it is.

After Mount's reception in the 4-3, I doubt he will want to return.

And their muppets sang  "He left because you're shit".  Well, his current team aren't much better, players like Martial, Lindelof, Anthony and Rashford are no better than most of our dregs.

This is why the world is in the state that it is.
Tbf who buys a two fingered KitKat anyway? Ludicrous behaviour and asking for trouble.
Sadly though the kid will probably grow up to be a Dipper or a Spud.
( Shoe size 5 ?? What is he, a Japanese trans??)

Is it me or does KITKat  not taste the same as it used to?  The four fingered version wrapped in tin foil was magnificent, but in the more recent wrappers it tastes inferior to what it used to.  And don't get me started on the Chunky version, massively over-rated IMHO

    Great interview, thanks for sharing.

The bits about Mourinho were very interesting, especially how he still adores him but was practically pissing his pants. It also highlights why a comeback wouldn't work with the current regime.

JT was great but I'm still not having that pebble headed twerp next to him.  All he does is blow smoke up his fellow owners backsides.

My thoughts are purely selfish as regards away trips. So Sheffield, Burnley and Forest down for me - keep Luton.

Coming up Leicester, Ipswich and Southampton

This.  Dislike Leeds with a passion, Leicester already up and hopefully Ipswich will follow, it's not a good for the Prem if the same old teams keep coming back.  Don't mind Southampton or WBA, but I'm not having D(H)ull .  As for the Prem, I wuah Everton would go down, can't stand their small man fans, but there's no chance of that happening now

I swear Van Dyke and Carragher have tears in their eyes. Hilarious 🤣

Then Van Dyke had a whinge that they’re playing the early Saturday game - even funnier 🤣🤣

Swedehead Rooney giving it to them in the post game stuff as well.

£85m Nunez looking like Jackson’s crap stand-in was mildly amusing too 😂😂

Why is it Nunez is getting a pass from the media?  He's just a crap Andy Carroll, if he was playing for us the press would be telling the world how crap he is.  Tossers.  As for Carragher, he's bloody lucky o still be in a job, any media outlet worth their salt would have booted him out after that disgraceful spitting incident.

I see now that Arne Slot has been strongly linked to the Red Scousers that he’s the next best manager in the world, according to media outlets.

    Sycophant’s.

Who?  They;re batter off taking Sid Snot from The Kenny Everett show.

  17. The worst performance I've seen from us since 2015/16, in that shower of a season when Mourinho ceased to be an elite coach.  we managed to make Havertz look world class, and that takes some doing.  Poor Gilchrist was thrown to the lions, Caicedo was run ragged by Oddiegaard (OK I mis-spelt his name), Enzo was a joke, he could't trap a bag of cement nor pass wind.  Madueke was average.  Gallagher was like Emmanuel Petit in disguise, and Jackson cannot finish his breakfast, never mind chances.  The entire back four skived off.  If it wasn't for for the keeper, it would have been worse, although he should have done better with the first goal.  Poch has to shoulder some of the blame as well, they are his signings, but no top coaches will come here for the forseeable future.  Tuchel won't be coming back unfortunately.  As for Mourinho and Conte,  the fact that no clubs are queueing up for their services tells me all I need to know.  I'd love Ancelotti back, but there's more chance of me getting the job!  We missed out on Emery and ne or two others and are paying the price.  We're Donald Ducked!

  18. Sick as a dog.  Poor finishing and decision making at the crucial moments cost us.  We must sell some players to raise funds and bring in two or three experienced players.  At last we had a go, not like Conte in 2017/18 with his defensive, cowardly tactic in playing Hazard as a false number 9 and isolating him totally.  Changing the coach is not the answer, Tuchel isn't coming back, the owners surely don't want to make themselves look stupid by admitting their mistake.  Simeocne ain't coming either, he has no ambition whatsoever, he just wants to stay in his comfort zone at Atletico Madrid.  Mourinho?  Finished. Past it. Kaputt.  Yesterday's man, you can see why no one is exactly rushing to take him on.  Ditto Conte, a blame shifter who blames everyone but himself for his shortcomings, and again, no one breaking their necks to take him.  We'll have to play out the season and prepare to come back stronger next season, and recruitment has to improve that's for sure
