100% agree with this. It always irks me when you get armchair tactical geniuses saying that anyone could coach a team to a title. it takes lots of hard work I would imagine.

Hasn't he just got over a fever? that would take its toll on some, believe it or not. I know he hasn't set the world on fire but its not his fault he cost what he did. He's learning the difference between playing for us and Brighton I reckon.

My favourite season was 04/05 loved it especially seeing duff and robben tearing up the wing. watching the 2-2 draw in a pub full of gooners in December i think that season and seeing the look on their faces. They knew ! . one of my heartbreaks was the 98/99 season. I actually for the first time thought we were going to win it that year.

Interesting read up there. The writer comments about arsenals title challenge withering but if memory serves didn’t they win the title that season?

salah and nunez' combined miss was something to behold. going back to the Arsenal game I love it when they finally lose. Those deluded p----s always say or think theres another unbeaten season coming when they haven't lost after about 9 or ten matches. Still I cant see how that goal was allowed to stand.

I haven't found much to agree with from Dave over the years but I agree with this. Do I think hes worth 60 mil? no, but I think hes a scrappy diligent type of forward that would get us a few goals, or make enough of a nuisance of himself to give others an opportunity in the team. Is he mister right? long term no, but I believe for chelsea he's mister right now (see what I did there?)

I actually thought he was going to be special..for us when he first was mentioned. But one thing That infuriated me before the Achilles injury, was that he had the pace to beat a full back but his crossing was average. Not the finished article and was never worth the wage packet in my opinion. Losing homegrowns is always a shame but maybe if he had been great in Germany he might still be a chelsea player.
