Very happy with that performance overall, from start to finish we controlled the game and didn’t give them much of a sniff, once again I’m not sure what the ref was up to, but at least VAR bailed him out. Early days for Joao Pedro, but my immediate thoughts were that he was a really smart signing and I think I’ve got something right for once.

You have to give them credit though, they have a European pedigree that rivals Scunthorpe United.

I tend to agree, at one point I thought he he the potential to develop in to a really good player, but we’ve only seen the best of him in patches, his game hasn’t developed any further. I’m only sad that he’s going to arsenal, because I’m not going to hope he does well there.

Should really have been 2-0 up by half time, palmeiras gave everything they had second half and we faded quite drastically, still this side has something about them, we can see these types of close games out now, which is encouraging. Shame about the lack of discipline still though, Caicedo should be back and hopefully Lavia, but then Delap and Colwill out.

I don’t mind the the thought of selling Madueke, because sadly he just hasn’t developed as as much as we all would’ve hoped, but selling him to a direct rival is just a massive no in my opinion. I don’t mind offloading our unwanted goods to the gooners, players like Jorginho, Kepa, sterling etc… but not players in the prime of their career, and I’d fear that Arteta could take him to the next level.

But on the other hand, Joao Pedro is premier league proven, was one of Brighton’s best performers, and Gittens is just another young winger that we hope will come good, same as Madueke who has shown nothing more than flashes of talent.
