  1. If my response offended you then I apologize. As for the 70pts team, let's revisit that in December. I am happy to eat humble pie, unfortunately there doesn't seem to be any indications on the horizon for me to go and buy the pie. David Moyes is available in the summer and he ticks all the boxes of a competent PL coach, who improves his teams and wins the occasional piece of silverware.
  2. Sorry in the word of Jason Cundy you are a bit deluded if you believe the squad is good enough to produce a 20pts improvement next season to make the top 5 maybe 70pts team on paper 50pts in reality.
  3. So the same players have been Un-coached by 3 coaches in 18 months should poch walk this summer? its nothing to do with the level of the playing staff?
  4. The same could be amid at you, in only pipe up to try and defend the club's poor recruitment over the last couple of windows and the level of those recruited players, along with the continual sledging of the previous regime and academy players It's a funny old game.
  5. Probably caught a lot of people off guard, as it's normally the 2nd half when the wheels fall off the team 😀
  6. I think we are safe on this one. Poch is only two points from the magic 50 and another season at the helm. Brighton are just another Leicester or Southampton who after a while of sell of the best assets each season catches up with the club. I say within 2 seasons Brighton will get relegated. At least TB assisted in getting Tony Bloom on the cover of Forbes
  7. Alternatively he could be showcasing all the duds in the squad to the hierarchy
  8. Maybe poch thinks the same and is doing everything possible to piss off the hierarchy so he get his P45 in the summer and his handsome payoff.
  9. Better look at villas results over the past couple of months puts the result into context. Matches coming up Thursday and Sunday IMO are better marker on where the squad is although if Poch persists with Midryk it’s like playing with 9 outfield players. The midfield looks 100% better and organised without Enzo. Poch is only 2 points from the magic 50. That should be enough for him to stay another season.
  10. The original post is whether Palmer can keep his high levels up next season, if he can the he is the real deal, if he falls off a cliff then i doubt anyone will be overly shocked As for Disasi & Jackson, they got 8 year to do whatever they like, one thing is for sure if the club has asperations of top 4 and beyond you don't have the likes of Disasi and Jackson in you starting line up week in week out - a couple of good back up player who cost a small fortune.
  11. table and points accumulation since Jan-23 don't lie
  12. A majority of the duds have already been at the since Jan-23 transfer window or longer and have ample time to prove themselves. Should Poch walk in the summer they are responsible for coach number 3 in 18 month in others coach no 4 in two seasons. As i have said on many occasion its the easy out to blame the coach. When the truth lies in giving two bob players ~100k per week contracts for 8 year
  13. Potter is still on the payroll and this is Chelsea with the 1st team being run by Stewart and Winstanley At least another overrated cloggy coach is off the potential Poch replacement list.
  14. Absolute tosh Just Another attempt to undermined the club achievements under the previous regime, because the success didn't fit Mr xceleryx narrative on how a successful football club should play football. Some of us on here will be push up daises before the club gets any kind of continuous success as seen the previous regime.
  15. Not sure what the beef is with Havertz, the club sold him on for £10m loss and replaced him with Jackson, Caicedo, Lavia, Nkunku for £250m and gave each of the 8 year contracts at ~£10 - £15m per year.
  16. Although there is a warning sign about hedgehogs 😀
  17. There is a lot of difference. CP looks a tallent, whereas many of the others had good metic for mid table to lower PL clubs, hence where the club is today. I am happy to take another wager with you now on where the club will be at the end of next season. 70pts team on paper 50pts in reality.
  18. I have answered your question. As I said if you believe CP is the best thing since Mothers Pride so be it. One hope he produces the same numbers next season as the team will need them, regardless of the coach. You went OTT pre season with the top 6 or 4 claim which is costing you £2.20 per match.
  19. unfortunately many of the current squad were brought based on a one year metic from their previous club, hence where the club is right now. However it’s probably easier to blame the coach than admitting the club the club have brought quite a few one hit wonders. Aka duds If CP is the real deal, we can expect a couple of clubs to make an enquiry this summer, similar to Enzo and his six months of fame which enticed TB to spunk £100m on him, yet we are still waiting for him to prove his fee and alleged status in world football.
  20. You are bang on the money about finding another Chelsea midfield player returning those numbers. However It could also be argued, would CP have walked into a Chelsea team in the past two decades. KDB being a perfect example. with that said, one could argue that 20/21 squad of SFL although did not have a individual Midfield player CP numbers the overall team of midfield players combined scored more than the current midfield. One dreads to think the numbers the midfield produce during SFL peek seasons. Bamford was just an example of a one hit wonder, hence CP should measured next season.
  21. Only when Taggart takes training
  22. I also compared him to Tammy but you kept quite on that one. if you think he’s the best thing since mothers pride that’s your prerogative. However it will be interesting to see what you write next season should his form go south and Poch is not at the helm to blame.
