Not sure we deserved to win that. We were pretty poor until we went behind and Poch chucked the subs on. Before the game, I thought we were going to carry on our form from the last couple of games, but boy was I wrong. We were ponderous, no one was making any runs, Mudryk, Madueke and Jackson weren’t in the game and Silva spent most of the match standing on the ball waiting for some movement from the forwards. It was rubbish. Fortunately, Pochettino made the changes, Sterling scored a good equaliser and Reece James set up a cross for Jackson who managed not to miss. We showed good character to salvage the three points, but a big improvement needed to end the season on a high and win the last two games.

Can we not mess this up now please.

Poor half. Just knocking it about at the back and going nowhere. Jackson and Madueke not doing anything. Just relying on Palmer to come up with something.

We were very good. Some of our passing and movement was nice to watch. And we’ve clearly been working on our finishing. Jackson in particular took his chances well. Very kind of West Ham to take the day off though. And they still somehow managed to hit the woodwork three times. The satisfying thing about the last couple of performances is being able to see things falling into place. Palmer and Gallagher we know about. But Caicedo, Cucurella, Chalobah, Badashiele, Jackson, Madueke all look like they’ve stepped up a level and look like they’re enjoying playing together. Mudryk is still a work in progress but he wasn’t noticeably as poor today. Petrovic was very solid as well. I was worried after the Arsenal loss that we’d let the end of the season drift and we’d just give up, but credit to the manager and players for ending the season hopefully on a high and a European place.

Still have no idea what Pochettino is talking about in his post match interview. Although he did seem to like Madueke’s performance.

Really showed character tonight. And dare I say it, we looked solid and coherent. Created a lot of chances first half, then fought hard to keep them at bay, and scored a good goal to settle it. Caicedo, Badashiele, Chalobah worked their socks off while Jackson and Palmer looked dangerous on the break. Considering we’re down to whoever’s left standing, that was a really good result.

Blimey. We needed that goal. We were really under the cosh this half.

I’m not celebrating until VAR do their thing.

Not sure much more to be gained from keeping Mudryk out there.
