  1. Is it safe to come out yet?
  2. Spuds league position is not indicative of how well they can play and this is the sort of game we need to win. The coach is under scrutiny today as he has had a tendency to set up more conservatively against the more "established" sides. He needs to ensure he doesn't develop an underdog mentality against the big names. We should be making the opposition change the way they play rather than changing the way we play. I'll be watching this one from behind the sofa I think.
  3. He's a striker, all he sees are goals. Certainly he did bugger all else in his career. Cucurella for me.
  4. I'm still getting over the fact that Sky opted for our game rather than the Manure experience.
  5. Did he get out of bed the wrong way again? Time to get rid?
  6. To be fair, they weren't that bad. Their manager should apologise though for sending them out so open with no midfield to protect the defense. If they had scored in the second minute I wonder how we would have reacted. I felt for NOAH in the same way I wouldn't if we do this to Arsenal at the weekend.
  7. It got me thinking. More often than not it seems we are the next team a club faces after they sack a manager. I wonder if there there any facts that support this, or am I just being paranoid?
  8. I'd still play Cucurella on the left though and let Gusto come on in a like for like in the second half.
  9. And effectively their second XI if it makes you feel any better 😂
  10. That's a terribly tight definition between being shit and being a joke if you ask me. It's the old story of a young team of tyros being great so long as everything is going well. Unfortunately though the lack of mature experience makes it very difficult to deal with adversity. We responded well after going a goal down but conceding immediately after getting the equaliser was never going to end well. We are becoming more robust but having to replace a suspended Cucurella at left back probably tipped the overall balance of the team from kickoff. It would be nice if we were able to get points off top 4 teams this season though.
  11. See? Told you. That's a lesson learned.
  12. I'm slowly becoming far too optimistic for my own good in expecting rather than just hoping for a win. By the time the Manure game comes up however my pervading pessimism worries that ETH will have been sacked and they'll be in the middle of a bounce back.
  13. So soon everyone forgets Reece James.
