Yes, he does "Ok" but it's a hugely important position. He has had a few howlers, like Burnley and Sheff Utd and the Garnacho header........my wider problem is that he doesn't seem to save much at all. Not goals that you would say are definitely his fault, but ones that an elite goalie might save. The CHO goal, the Palace goal at Selhurst, the 2nd Villa goal at Villa Park......just 3 off the top of my head.

Looking at the two goalkeepers, they have conceded at an identical rate this season (near enough) Sanchez, a goal every 57.36 minutes Petrovic, a goal every 58.26 minutes Happy with either being a no2, but neither good enough to be no1.

GK would be my no.1 priority.

Jackson and Abraham have very similar numbers.

You don't have to be a genius to work out what team needs what, so I expect a lot of it is guesswork. Moreover, conversations between clubs, agents and players would have started months ago, so these things get out.

Not sure that is true, or fair. Livramento left in the summer of 2021 when his contract was over (he had been offered new deals). Tuchel joined in January 2021, by which time it was pretty clear already that he wasn't signing a new contract. Edit - Tuchel took over at a point in time when Tino had less than 6 months to run on his deal. His mind had been made up already

Thing is, we're only 10 points off 4th now, and we have had an absurd number of injuries. Even without buying another player, you could make that up by just have an ordinary season, injury wise. That's ignoring any expected improvement in the younger players

For us? He was diabolical. Played what, 12 games? No tin hat needed. Crespo was a fabulous player. Would have benefitted hugely from VAR too, as he was often incorrectly given offside due to brilliant movement
