In fairness, I think he was pretty good last season but his form has gone off a cliff. The hernia makes sense. I'm expecting a much better version post-op. I'd give him the rest of the season off and use Chuk or even Casadei.

I maintain that they are top quality first team regulars*WHEN FIT* Leave them all to recover now for the rest of the season and pre-season and go again. I haven't given up on any of them Max. Ever the optimistic 🙄

Conflicting stuff coming out of Cobham but.....

Based upon what I've seen these past two seasons he's possibly the best of a bad bunch. I can't recall Petrovic collecting a corner or cross and he keeps getting beaten at his near post.

1) Wes Fofana. Levi Colwill. Chilwell. James. Lavia. Nkunku. 2) No they haven't. The whole back 4 for a start. All of our CM cover (I believe Lavia will become a starter). 3) Temporarily. None of the season long injuries to key players we've had. Just messing about on a formation builder I came up with a number of potential first team formations and line ups which we could have called open. Rotation takes the strain off exhausted players which is as crucial as having our first 11 available each week. So depending on opposition and taking rotation into account;

That's misleading. It's the sheer number of players missing, some the whole season basically and the importance of those players. We've had the worst injury crisis over two seasons ever. Nobody will convince me otherwise. Even if Poch goes, I won't be too disheartened about our full squad and our potential first team as there are some very good players there. Our strongest 11 is a match for anyone. We just haven't seen that 11 once in two seasons. Last night was a shit show though for many reasons including the group Poch choose to start with, even taking into account injuries.

My understanding is that Jackson had the ball in a one on one and so the algorithm on XG has made a well informed call.

I've flip -flopped over Poch all season and whilst I recognise that he's been severely hampered by the worst chronic injury crisis any PL club has ever faced together with the absolutely abysmal finishing of Messrs Jackson and Sterling recently, teams with far worse players than us have set up against the likes of Arsenal and looked compact and coached. We need a reset. He's not the man.
