Just wanted to update on this to keep everyone up to date. We have the next 21 months covered, so we have the funds to keep us going until May 2025, which is brilliant.

For any newer members, that may not be aware, we want to keep the forum free, but it obviously comes with costs to keep it live and running (approx £60 a month), and we rely on donations from our users to keep us going.

Thanks as always Sam and thanks to everyone who has donated.  I'm pleasantly surprised we have enough funds until July 2025, that's amazing!!

However, I think it is worth pointing out that we shouldn't get complacent and that any contribution, however small, along the way will help keep the pot topped up.  As time goes on we don't want to have to start asking more urgently for donations.

Because you’re all amazing, we’re now really close to covering a 3rd year, in fact we’re only £50 away, which would mean we’d be covered until January 2026.

UPDATE!

Thank you to everyone who has donated since we re-launched, we have now hit our target of £2,160, which means we have raised enough to keep the CFCnet lights on until January 2026, which would be 3 years since we got back up and running.

I’ve said it multiple times before, but I really wasn’t sure we’d be able to attract enough members from the original site plus new members, to ensure we could have a forum worth keeping and definitely didn’t expect the generosity in donations. It’s brilliant and although at times we don’t all see eye to eye on some topics, it’s a great place to be. Thank you.

 

I’m not going to update the target yet, because we are covered for a good length of time, but I will likely look at it all in January and update it then.

I’ve updated the GoFundMe page with a new target to help cover the site’s costs through to January 2028, which would be amazing! I know times are tough for many, and it’s an expensive time of year, so I’m not expecting any donations right away. However, I wanted to get the page updated so we can keep track of progress and hopefully get ahead of ourselves.

I want to reiterate that ALL donations go directly towards the running costs of the website and forum—not a penny goes into my pocket or anyone else’s.

When you’re able, and if you can, please donate whatever you’re comfortable with—whether it’s a little or a lot—to help keep this site running and support us as we move towards what we hope will be the glory years once again.
