He will have wanted this result badly of course. I’m not saying we have turned the corner at all, but as Arsenal was imo genuinely alarming, this was refreshingly good. 😌 🦴 🦴 🦴 👀
It wasn’t Benitez’s fault Jose was sacked. A lot of managers make digs, so what? And hatred is a pathetic, destructive emotion imo. NOT aimed at you personally mate.
I just don’t understand the hate against Benitez. To do so because of the Liverpool stuff I think is a bit juvenile imo. For me he’s a really, really good coach, a top professional and did very well for us. We won a trophy and finished in the CL places. What more did everyone want?
It isn’t personal. He’s one of the greatest midfielders ever to play the game and seems a truly good, decent man. But amazing players don’t always make good managers. I wanted SFL to succeed so badly as I want all of our managers to. I note though that he still isn’t being employed as a manager anywhere.
I just want the basics - organisation, strength, leadership, team spirit, a well-drilled defence, being clinical in the box and being very hard to play against. And yes, some legal shithousery.
Thanks chara. It’s a different world now in terms of how managers speak to players - even Jose acknowledged this a few years back. Sadly these days, hurt fee-fees, safe spaces and spurious “mental health” issues (that do a massive disservice to people who deal with REAL mental health problems every day) seem to matter above just about everything. 🤐👀🙈🧨😬
