  1. Gallagher gives away a foul for "looking really hard" at the Spurs defenders back.
  2. This ref is going to do us at some point you can see it coming.
  3. I think that's the most focused and organised I've seen us for a while, I particularly liked how we tried to control the tempo and didn't let Spurs rush us too much. That was also a free. Kick we must have worked on. Maybe the threat of Conte is working on everyone?
  4. I don't know where they get them from, he's falling for it every time with them and ignoring us whenever possible
  5. Great headed goal despite VAR's desperation to rule it out, well done Trev
  6. And we then sold all those players and started from scratch. What about that did you miss?
  7. It's a waste of time us two-ing and fro-ing between each other , we don't agree , I can see some of where you are coming from but apparently you cannot see that we'd improve with some proper structure and you , know coaching so that ALL the players improve and we get more out of them as a collective than the sum of its parts. You did say that he inherited a side in disarray and that is errant nonsense , he inherited a side he could mould into his image and chose not to .
  8. I actually think that any improvement is just a tweak away , I really do , he needs to come up with a system that enables everyone to know what to do when we face a corner or free kick , where to stand , who to mark , where to play the out ball , who's to receive that ball . Everything for me needs to be organisational , as much as I am a fierce critic of him I am also a fierce advocate for the players , give them some help , drill positional play into them , don't let them wing it , winging it to a degree is fine in attack but once we lose possession we must be more organised . Play players in "their" positions and expect them to meet your standards , if Mudryk considers himself a number 10 then play him as a number 10 and tell him he has to do well enough to keep the position from others who covet it or he doesn't play . If Pochettino cam get some proper patterns of play where everyone instinctively knows where they are , the sort of things that Jose and Conte would bring to the side , organise the defence , play the midfield that suits the game he wants to play and not the game the players want to play , don't isolate the attackers so much etc. At the start of the season we had no width anywhere as he expected Chilwell or Mudryk to do everything on their own without any support whatsoever , no overlapping defender , no overloads nothing and the pair of them looked clueless . It's a game of small margins and if he gets these thing right ,we will be harder to beat and he will get more points and more respect and we will go up the table . He will have a rested James , Chilwell, Nkunku to work with , a hopefully rejuvenated Enzo plus some new players too he has to have the courage of his convictions as the players can tell when their own coach doesn't reckon their chances If we go out and spend a king's ransom on more players and he wastes them too then I really do not know ... As daft as it sounds I am not anti Pochettino , I am anti Pochettino not helping himself or the team as he's more interested in chaos than order and you need a bit of both I think .
  9. No he didn't , he took over a club who'd got rid of all the lollygagging players , let those who weren't engaged going forward leave and then bought what were perceived to be the creme de la creme of upcoming talent . He had a clean slate from day one! He hit the ground running in that so important pre season , got everyone firing and then promptly shit the bed first game of the season where his ingrained loser yellow streak got the better of him . Since then he's done nothing other than improve the vibes , it's been a disastrous showing from the man and he's hung young players out to dry and let them make all their mistakes in the gimlet eye of the public making them look worse than they are and then had the audacity to allude he'd deigned to come here even though we weren't the ideal job for a man of his talents. Our players are better than he helps them to be . Things are at a head now where because he's run them down so far almost the only thing we have to hang onto is to allow him to keep his job as we're now scared it'll get even worse if we change coaches. Top work
  10. I actually think we go into the new season with MO-PO and half way through when murder/chaos ball isn't working we get Kloppy in who overnight will see him transformed from an ubermensch coach extraordinaire into a moaning ungrateful gurning child who the media loathe .
  11. My dislike of him does not go as far as to say he doesn't know what he's doing as a coach as he clearly does < I saw him interviewed years ago and he came across as quite nice but actions speak louder than words
  12. There's goals in that side. Sadly all in our net.
  13. D'you know , with nothing more explanatory than "feels" you've convinced me . Forza Mauricio !
  14. He was a tosser , hated us , took every chance afforded him to make digs at the club, tried to get our players banned and then took the shilling . Nothing to do with Liverpool for me , he's just unlikable .
  15. What they love and seem to need is , a race for the league , a race for the CL spots and a race against relegation , the league has to be tough fought and full of incident so they can sell it on .
  16. What? Better than Sebastian Pochettino? Pfft.
  17. Can you please define what you think Pochettino is doing on the training pitch that is worthy of praise then? Half our players are injured and the rest don't appear to know what to do other than wing it.
  18. It looks very much like an Enzo issue to me , sadly
  19. The truth is I don't want him but I don't trust them to replace him either !
  20. Not really , I just don't want any more misery when Clownlake go for Southgate or Moyes , I'm hoping they're going to get Klopp after he's recharged his batteries for a while
  21. Although I have been his most vocal critic , even I can see the merit in not rocking the boat too much with the paucity of options available to us in the coach / manager market . My issue with Pochettino has always been his lack of tangible coaching , when he arrived I was hoping he'd put a bit of steel in the side , a bit of nastiness and have us organised but so far all I can really see is that the players do appear to be playing for him to some degree and that they do keep going with the hope of turning things around more often than not . I'm not happy with his chaos approach as I believe that young players especially and even more especially in these days , need structure and guidance to get the best out of them whereas ours rarely seem to know exactly what is going on around them and everything is done on an ad hoc basis which is why a maverick like Cole Palmer is shining and an immature Mudryk is not. I suppose , as much as it sticks in my craw the sensible thing would be to do what many have suggested we do and get in some more seasoned pros to influence the kids and hope that we get some decent service out of Reece James , Enzo , Lavia going forwards , but something has to change somewhere , when he got the job there was a lot of talk of how Pochettino works and that was that generally they had a terrible first season where everyone got to know each other , the second was an improvement as all were familiar with his methods and the third was where we would really kick on . I would suggest if I were Pochettino I'd be looking to bypass the second and jump straight into the third . I still firmly believe we are growing a team here with quality young erratic players who individually are far better than what we are seeing from them , Pochettino has to start getting them to play , I simply cannot understand what he expects to achieve with no structure , no patterns of play , disjointedness between defence and attack and the inability to perform with any degree of competence attacking or defending set pieces , it boggles my mind. But , they do appear to like him which counts for something The thought of having to pay Brighton for De Zerbi fills me with misery , not because I think De Zerbi wouldn't do a good job but because I don't want to give those tossers any more of our money .
