Over-confidence and investment in the potential of youth at the expense of experienced campaigners and proven winners. The endless miserable defeats, not only to the big boys, but to teams that hadn't beaten them since the era of black-and-white television...etc The hubris at Stamford bridge came from the owners though, not the coach. Eddie Jones is rugby's Jose Mourinho: Tactically sound, but doesn't really develop players (look how this worked out), ends up at odds with everyone after a while after sniping at them at press conferences and leaving or getting the boot.
