  1. Lovely assist, Palmer can just change things in a flash, been a bit sloppy at the back so far though.
  2. What do the players think about him though? I’ve criticised Poch all season and I’m still not convinced despite some good wins, but to be fair the players seem to like him and they’re definitely playing for him. Definitely not opposed to replacing him, just not sure about the names being lined up.
  3. There certainly is a biased nature from some journalists and pundits, Jenas is one of the biggest culprits, if he ever praised us I think I’d collapse. There was also a clear agenda against Mourinho from some and I don’t think he did always serve up sterile dross. When he came back to the club I thought we played some brilliant football at times personally, but we were still labelled boring, which I think is nonsense. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder anyway, if you only concede 15 goals a season, I think there’s beauty in the art of defending. There are many ways to win games and trophies, it’s a sport, not the cinema and that’s just the way I view it personally, but each to their own. If the English media only want to laud specialists in failure, then that’s their prerogative, Wenger won sod all for years. I will say though, that I’d prefer to win playing beautiful football, it’s just not the be all and end all for me.
  4. Agree to a certain extent, but I can’t say that I ever clamoured for Wenger’s mostly unsuccessful football when we were winning trophies under Mourinho, so I prefer winning football personally. If you can do both then great and we have done before under Carlo and even in Mourinho’s second stint when we played some great football at times, but the media wouldn’t have it.
  5. That’s nothing compared to the full members cup.
  6. Yea true, striker/forward, we still have a plenty of right wingers though, shouldn’t be a priority position.
  7. When are PSG going to learn, they’re not allowed to win the champions league.
  8. That’s without even mentioning Dujuan Richards as well, I mean what’s the point in buying more right wingers? Just develop the ones you have, it’s nonsense.
  9. For me he’s arguably the best talent I saw at youth level, or you mean as soon as he made the step up? I think he had some good moments for us, especially in that Europa league run which made me think we’ve got a good player here.
  10. No he can’t, it’s not his fault, it’s just bad business.
  11. Happy that CHO is playing well and I hope it continues, probably the best talent I’ve seen at youth level, always had the finishing to match his flair. I was never sure that he would go on to be player that I thought he may of been initially, but he probably should’ve been given more time in hindsight. We’ve got some decent forwards in the academy right now and hopefully it’ll pan out better for them, unless they’re just sold for profit. As for Mudryk, I’m really not his biggest fan and the price tag makes me cringe. I think he’s had some bright moments lately, but his lack of composure in the final third is there for all to see.
  12. Europa league would be a good experience for the young players, conference league not so much and Newcastle don’t look like slipping up, but you never know, just need to do our job though first and foremost.
  13. McLaren won a Grand Prix, what a lovely weekend of sport.
  14. I can’t see that happening, I don’t think they’d go for Jose, but you might be right that they’ve made their mind up, same applies with Gallagher and Chalobah.
  15. If that is the case, then I’m not sure I’d want to go against the players and get rid of Poch. I think a lot of us have questioned him this season, myself included, but it only makes sense to move him on if we bring someone in who is proven as a first class manager, otherwise I don’t really see the point.
  16. Well that wasn’t too bad, very enjoyable performance, full of flair and the finishing to match. The only negative was that we defended sloppily at times and West Ham should’ve had two at least, but we got away with it. Still, that was a brilliant display, not sure what to say if you don’t see the talent Jackson has, his finishing is erratic at times for sure and I’ve slated him times, but he’s only going to get better, Madueke too is starting to grow as a player.
  17. Second this, looks like a really good bit of scouting potentially, quite excited by what I’ve seen from him so far. Him and George look like very talented forwards.
  18. Which is admirable, I agree with you, however I can’t help but notice that a lot of the time with his passes/clearances (probably a mixture of both), he’s putting the ball straight back in to a dangerous area, just something that he needs to work on in my opinion.
  19. Pleased that he had a good game, but he really does need to work on his clearances, nearly all of them end up being short and straight to an opponent, other than that he looked better today.
  20. These owners don’t care though and they’re not interested in fan opinion, they’ll sell him and Trev due to FFP, be surprised if they didn’t.
  21. Cucurella deserves the plaudits tonight I think, had his best game for us, defence as a whole was very solid tonight.
  22. What a brilliant win, especially considering how depleted we are, fantastic today.
  23. Worst referee in the league, just wanted to say that.
  24. Good first half, trouble is spurs can’t get worse and we’ve got absolutely nothing on the bench.
