  1. Anthony Taylor chosen for this game to keep the race for 6th going until the very end.
  2. Saw this on Sky earlier: Sterling spends 75% of his time on the pitch walking, the most out of all forwards in the Premier League.
  3. Palace aren't paying Sterling the 325k a week he's owed for the next three years.
  4. Such a shame we've not had this quality available throughout the season. Skill and technique, doesn't turn the ball over every two seconds and a controlled finisher.
  5. Nkunku looked really sharp. Very good cameo. Could have had more if the other forwards weren't so greedy.
  6. Bullet header haha (my stream is 3 mins behind 😂)
  7. Our two wingers haven't turned up. Hard to play when Madueke and Mudryk (in particular) turn the ball over every time they touch it.
  8. I watched the second half and the boys seemed over eager and little frustrated. They went gung-ho too early and Man Utd were wasteful with a few counters that would have put the game to bed. Showed a lot of spirit to keep going and the final touch or action deserted them as they chased an equaliser.
  9. Is he? The stats I see show the following, in the past 365 days Jackson ranks highly for pass completion, progressive carries and dribbles amongst forwards. Now here are the same numbers for Rasmus Hojlund who cost 70m (more than double the fee of Jackson): Here's a bonus, Haaland's stats: Haaland has missed 33 big chances this season, by far the most in the league. Modern day Sutton there, am I right? 😂
  10. Things aren't kept as closely guarded as they were under the old regime. The new guys are very much happy to breif journos and twitter people like Romano. I'm just amazed that so many on here believe we're fine at LB and wouldn't change things when it's by far the weakest position for us in the back 4.
  11. With all due respect, I disagree with every word of this. Cucurella is not a class act, he is a pint sized defensive liability. Chilwell has not been a good player for more than two years and is barely ever fit anyway. As bad as Cucurella is I'd keep him out of the two simply because he's not injured as often. We absolutely need a LB this summer, one that can defend and isn't useless with the ball at his feet. If the briefings to the journos are correct then I'm glad somebody has noticed what a car crash LB has been all season.
  12. Being wrong on a player is one thing but doubling down when the player performs is laughable. Just admit defeat, I promise we won't think any less of you.
  13. I've come to agree with this. Tuchel was good for us at a time we needed somebody to maximise the squad we had. I don't think he's the man for a rebuilding job and some of his decision making regarding youth players was frustrating. Losing out on somebody like Livramento for instance happened on his watch. Better tactician than Poch for sure.
  14. Laughing out loud at that. Mudryk has never once given Hazard vibes. He simply doesn't have the ability. Mudryk is closer to Jesper Gronkjaer. The mishit cross he scored against Arsenal this season was reminiscent of a Gronkjaer goal.
  15. I've seen several journos now reporting that we're looking for a left back this summer (in addition to a goalkeeper and attacker). One of Chilwell or Cucurella has to be sold. In an ideal world they would both be moved on but I think shifting even one of them is going to be incredibly difficult.
  16. Looks that way unfortunately. I was under the assumption that Roman got guarantees as part of the sale that something like this couldn't happen.
  17. Don't know how you guys watch that. Clicked the stop recommending that channel option and many others like it.
  18. I believe his contract expires in July 2025 so there's a decision to be made this summer. New contract and loan or he'll be sold. I don't think we have many more hotels to sell to ourselves to meet PSR so I'm guessing he'll be sold.
  19. I vividly remember watching that live too. Eidur's cheeky little clip over the keeper for the second. Good times.
  20. There have been a few hits like Jackson, Gusto, Palmer but for every one of them there's a Sanchez, Mudryk, Cucurella. The amount wasted is genuinely maddening. Give it to Palmer, our real 10. Give Mudryk 43 or something and let him get back to basics.
  21. Finally makes an intelligent off the ball run and surprise surprise, he scores a goal. Think he's only made that run maybe 5 or 6x in his Chelsea career which tell you all you need to know. A run that he needs to perform 20x a half. The day somebody explains to him in serious detail that he is not Hazard or Neymar with the ball at his feet then we might have a serviceable player here. Call me crazy but I seriously believe this starts with taking the #10 off him and giving him a nondescript squad number.
  22. Winner yesterday. Strange, thought he only scored when the team was 3-0 up?
  23. Hutchinson was signed in summer 2022 and went straight into the academy so most likely a Jim Fraser / Neil Bath led signing. Winstanley and Stewart weren't even in post when Hutchinson arrived.
  24. Caicedo's pass to Reece James for the winner yesterday was superb. He has been outstanding in the last month or so.
