Looks like it. The club desperately needs that 'pure profit'. There isn't another hotel that can be asset stripped to balance the books.

Mauricio Pochettino leaves Chelsea by mutual consent

Presumably Laurence Stewart, the former Monaco director when Disasi was also at the club. Do we think it's a coincidence that following Stewart's departure Monaco have returned to the Champions League? -

That one match against City away? No surprise it came in a game where we were defending deep in numbers and playing on the counter. Disasi's issue mainly stems from being a bit slow and hesitant defending wide spaces. Couple of games and goals spring to mind. -

I think it's pretty clear Poch would. He's more mobile and covers more positions at a better level. Chalobah is clearly better at RB than Disasi for instance. The person who paid 45m for Disasi however needs Chalobah gone. Self interest above squad building. -

Just seen this: Valued at 25m, 20m cheaper than the players he's currently keeping out of the team on merit. Mudryk for 60m, sold CHO for 5m. Surely somebody steps in sooner rather than later to stop this madness? -

Would have been interesting to see what would have happened if Lavia was fit this season. He cost 53m. Disasi is nowhere to be seen now that Chalobah is fit. Somebody thought spending 45m on him had to be done. (I think Disasi is decent but Chalobah is more versatile.) You would expect Poch rates Chalobah and Gallagher more than two players who cost the club 100m. All the briefings make sense if you think of it that way. Some people are fighting for their jobs. -

Interesting to consider: -
I like suggestions like this because 1) he's something we don't have and 2) we can and likely will do a lot worse for considerably more money.
-
Probably not. Nobody will take Sterling because of his wages and the club is trapped in the Mudryk sunk-cost fallacy for at least another season. As it stands our LW will continue to stink for another season before any action is likely to be taken. I doubt there's a sell on fee. Incredible deal for Forest if this happens. A £5m transfer fee and they will make a hefty profit off any sale. Wonder what Clearlake will think of the sporting directors grossly undervaluing an asset like that.

Would be a shame to see him end up there.
-
Rested so he doesn't injure himself before being sold this summer hopefully.

Can't believe how many are falling for Cucurella's little resugrence in form. He is a defensive liability and doesn't have the necessary quality for the role he plays coming inside. The worst wingers in the league have their way with him, he's easily beaten 1v1 and hardly ever stops crosses coming in from the left. He only plays because the other LB is a crock. It's by far the weakest position in the back 4 and arguably the squad (only LW is worse because it's a battle between Mudryk and Sterling). -
Good lord, Mayra is outrageous. What a player.
-
65m for a 17 year old. Beyond absurd. They have already signed Kendry Paez (who plays the exact same position) for £17m. Based on reports and clips I've seen, Paez is by far the better prospect. This makes genuinely no sense whatsoever. 65m on a child when we have an excellent academy, a first team that has significant holes in key areas and they're asset stripping the club to balance the books.

Kante included the French squad for the Euros. Amazing player, still going strong. Deschamps: "First of all, his experience. There are some very good young players, everyone knows that, but N’Golo is the ideal player, both in terms of his quality and his ability to set an example. I can tell you know that a Équipe de France with Kanté is stronger, and he gets people to listen to him and respect him. In terms of whether he can handle the intensity of tournament football, of course he can! There is an important detail that people aren’t considering is that he plays in a city (Jeddah) which is very hot and humid. Physically, it’s hard. There is a rhythm, the teams are well equipped. Above all, look at the number of games he has played this season (42). We accumulated games like in Europe with the league, the cups and continental tournaments. I have no doubt about his level. We will see the N’Golo Kanté that French people recognise.” Legend.

There might be a market for Ben Chilwell after all. 👀 -
Anthony Taylor chosen for this game to keep the race for 6th going until the very end.
-
Saw this on Sky earlier: Sterling spends 75% of his time on the pitch walking, the most out of all forwards in the Premier League.
-
Palace aren't paying Sterling the 325k a week he's owed for the next three years.
-
Such a shame we've not had this quality available throughout the season. Skill and technique, doesn't turn the ball over every two seconds and a controlled finisher.
-
Nkunku looked really sharp. Very good cameo. Could have had more if the other forwards weren't so greedy.
