  1. I would. Can’t see them getting a tune out of him, let alone the Hallelujah Chorus. But then again, I can’t see them being daft enough to sign him.
  2. You’ve bin out on the frontier far too long, Char, time for a return to civilisation …
  3. "Ginger Mourinho" Dyche set for Everton job, accordingly to Auntie - https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/live/football/64422610. Couldn't happen to a nicer club ...
  4. Found what looks like him on Twitter, messaged. We'll see.
  5. I tried replying to a post of his on Twitter - let's see if he bites. Trouble is, he's not a regular Twitterati.
  6. Former Premier League referee Mark Clattenburg has resigned from his position as president of the Egyptian Referees Committee after only five months in charge. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/africa/64387478 "It is certainly true to say Clattenburg has been the subject of criticism by Zamalek's president Mortada Mansour more or less since he arrived in Egypt as head of the country's referees' committee. Zamalek are one of Egypt's two most famous and powerful clubs, alongside their bitter city rivals Al-Ahly. They have their own TV channel, and Mansour appears on it regularly. Mansour's criticism of Clattenburg has increased in the last few weeks, and has included making allegations of a personal nature. This intensity of Mansour's attacks has coincided with a drop-off in Zamalek's league form, culminating in a defeat by Al-Ahly on Saturday."
  7. That being said, I did find you hiding on KUMB with Droy ... should be careful of the company you keep when you're slumming it ...
  8. Good to see you found us, @CarefreeMuratcan- after several people asked after you and I've always fancied myself as a locater of missing persons, I looked for you all over - but you cover your tracks well. Where I did find you, there was no forwarding address. Ever considered a career in MI5?
  9. There you go, NB - seem to remember posting something like this on the old website ...
  10. Lovely start to the And the riposte ... https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/64360412 ... will they be convicted? What penalty will they get? Will LiVARpool overturn it? Or will it be Chelsea supporters wearing red who were singing? Come to think of it, if Spuds can chant the "Y" word, can we chant "Rent Boys"?
  11. I've dropped dropped fairly something short to CFCUK mag, and asked Stamford-Bridge.com to update their links.
  12. Does anyone know someone at Chelsea FC who might add something to the next programme / magazine? How about cfcuk magazine? Both routes to market would get an appreciative audience ...
  13. Written to Google and suggested they remove it as it is misleading, offering the new url instead. You never know, they may investigate.
  14. During my days as a member of Hampshire Cricket Club, I wanted to book lunch at the restaurant at the old ground at Northlands Road. Alas, no joy - they were full. I explained that my aged mother-in-law - herself a veritable cricket almanac and great company at a match - didn't talk between overs, knew the run rates and teams for tests going back to the thirties - and my young son, and both would be unwilling to come to the match if they were not well fed. Somehow, the mention of a young son ("keen as mustard, slow right arm") moved things, but we'd have to sit next to a large group behind some screens. I agreed. Come the day, we were perusing the menu when my mother-in-law asked who was making that awful din behind the screen. "Oh, that'll be Mr Smith, Mr Botham and Mr Gower, I think". My lad was probably too young to get too excited, but my mother-in-law was totally knocked out.
  15. Being a hit of a history fan, I had to read Antony Beevor's "Russia", but found I was missing on the history of Ukraine and so discovered the excellent "The Gates of Europe" by Sergii Plokhy. For a more modern spin, Anrey Kurkov's (he of "Death and the Penguin - an excellent novel) "Ukraine Diaries - Dispatches from Kiev" and "Diary of an Invasion" are essential reading. Next stop Norman Davies "God's Playground", recommended by my son, who's moving there this summer and had it recommended by his partner.
  16. Dunno why, but this band attracted my attention ... Geordie lot, but don't hold it against them, that and an unusual name ... slightly reminiscent of Imelda May perhaps?
  17. No. Checked it out, and it seems they posted as non-members, so I can't PM them. It's a hit of relief, to be honest - I can cancel my membership of that offensive bunch - no wish to be tarnished. Shame I couldn't find anything though. Sorry - I tried.
  18. Carefree Muratcan was there too - WHAM seem to post something called "The Opposition View" about other teams ... I found their names on there. See https://www.kumb.com/story.php?id=136511 for some familiar names, but no idea how to contact them - the site doesn't seem to allow PMs, even for members - I joined to see if this gave me extra rights. It doesn't.
  19. No idea - doesn't seem possible to PM people on it. I'll keep trying ...
  20. At risk of upsetting @JaneBagain, looked at kumb.com (Wet Spam) and found Blue Rod, Ibn Battuta, Ro61 and Lampen ...
