  1. Re,emmber hem well, and they had a clown called Billy Davies as their manager, he managed more like Billy Dainty! This Sheff Utd side comes a close second, their players can't pass wind.
  2. Wouldn't we just all love it it if Plopp won absolutely FA? (Not the FA Cup)
  3. What an appalling side Sheff Utd are, one of the worst ever in the PL
  4. That was Ranieri's rebuilding era, as much as I loved Luca Vialli (God rest his soul), but he left us with an ageing team (Wise, Poyet, Lebeouf, Bogarde, Ferrer) were all past their best (Bogarde was never any good), but the 2002-03 season was a good one IMHO, we finished top 4 without spendong a penny (we only brought a duffer called De Lucas on a free) and still finished two places higher in the PL. Then of course, Roman arrived!
  5. What the average football owner knows about football FA
  6. In 2016 he was past it, but in 2009 he was great, we only lost once with him at the helm. I was disappointed he didn't stay, it would have been interesting to see how he would have fared. Carlo wasn't a bad replacement mind.
  7. It;s an inescapeable fact we are not as good as we think we are. And when Plopp buggers off, hopefully they'll get another Souness and go back into decline.
  8. And have been for quite a few years TBH. How about TT coming back? I don't think he deserved the push. Getting rid of Marina and Petr Cech wasn't clever either, whatever people think of them, they're better than the people we have now, and at least tey knew something about football.
  9. Their time has gone. Get over it. Whoever died years ago was buried years ago. I am not a Poch apologist, but sacking him will just put us back to square one. Jose I can maybe defend but Conte behves like a big baby when not given what he wants. Oh Boo hoo!!! STFU and work with what you've got if you call yoirself a top coach
  10. Wouldn't go as far as 10 times, O'Neill's record isn't much better than Potter's.
  11. Wolves are a dangerous side this year with O'Neill at the helm, unlike under Lopetegui and Eddie Large (whatever that coaches name was) . Our record against them at the Bridge is good though, time to our our frustration from yesterday on them..... I fancy us to win, but it will be tight.
  12. Along with a few others mind. I can't remember the last good game Sterling had for us.
  13. Not as bad at to answer fors last season, but not much better that's for sure. Our recruitment team has a lot to answer for, Directors of Football are just a waste of space as far as I'm concerned, they just pen push and suck up to directors and the owner. Directors of Football? They couldn't direct traffic!
  14. And another thing. Why wasn't Sterling subbed? The amount of times he lost the ball was ridiculous. Only Gusto, Nkunku and Petrovic came away with credit from this debacle. Palmer had an off day, but he'll be back I'm sure.
  15. Stop kidding yourself. They are finished. They are not the managers they once were. Fact. Get over it. Poch isn't the answer, but neither are they. The mid 2000's and 2017 are gone finished. Kapputt. We should never have sacked Carlo, he's still a serial winner, He even made a crap team like Everton look decent. Better than Jose and Conte any day. I want a proper manager, not a blame shifter like Conte or Jose. Where is Conte now? Which owner will take him o? Exactly. If you take on the owner, there is only one winner, and it's not the coach. Have people forgotten the pathetic 2015/16 season when Jose was deservedly sacked for almost taking us down, and tried t blame the players instead when he lost the dressing room? They're not going to come back, and I don't want them back. Rant over for now.
  16. Crap result, matched by the performance. But let's cut out the BS that Jose is the answer. He isn't. Third spells are never successful, (ie Howard Kendall at Everton many years ago). We don't need a prima dona coach, and if we must go for a former coach, why not Ancelotti? Long in the tooth, but has a better record then Jose in the last 10 years, and plays what I call proper football, not the negative defensive crap which doesn't work anymore. But of course, the problem is, I have more chance of getting the job than Carlo coming back. Jose and Conte are just drama queens.
  17. Pass me the sick bag! And Jamie O'Hara is the dimmest, thickest prat on earth, even my Spuds supporting working colleagues can't stand him.
  18. I would love to see the odious John Aldridge miserable as sin after this news. The coverage has been sickening to the extreme. Let's hope the Liverpool of the 1990's return, when they became also-rans.
  19. Let's hope they're in mourning on 26 February.
  20. First time in a long time since I saw a stress free game from us. For once, Lady Luck well and truly smiled on us . Hopefully some of the doom and gloom merchants who wrote off Cole Palmer are wiping the egg off their faces. Chilwell made a big difference, and so will Reece when he gets back. Mydryk and Broja were diabolical, they need to buck their ideas up double quick, they won't get away with performances like that against Villa or Liverpool. Credit to the hardy Boro fans who were singing their hearts out despite their team getting hammered. And a final positive, the odious Andy Hinchcliffe wasn't in the commentary box to spout off his usual bullocks, although I would have loved to hear him in pain after his cup upset hopes went up in smoke. Now to avenge the 2022 final, when we were robbed by having a perfectly good goal by Lukaku ruled out. COME ON YOU BLUES!
  21. May be a good number two, but good number two's don't make good managers or head coaches.
  22. I'ts time we stopped deluding ourselves that Jose is still an elite coach. He isn't anymore. The Special One has now become "The Finished One"., bacuse that is exactly what he is now. Finished. Past it. Over the bloody hill. Kapputt. His methods and style of play are also obsolete and defunct. So let's not here any one calling for him to return, 3rd spells are often more unsuccessful than 2nd soells, like Howard Kendall at Everton years ago.
  23. XG? XB more like (the b rhymes with Jane Horrocks). If you're going to rely on XG, then prepare to lose or draw.
  24. Again, not the best, but as the old saying goes "Never mind the quality, feel the points". Our build up play is still too slow and predictable and easy to repel by teams that sit deep. We must move the ball quicker, and thank heavens for Cole Palmer, you write him off at your peril! Reminds me of years ago when JT, Drogba, Lampard and Hazard had an average game people on the old site were saying they were s**t.
