  1. If Poch comes, I will back him just like every other manager that has come in, and if he's successful, great. I'd rather Poch than Sam Allardyce or Harry Redknapp! Or Jose for that matter, he's finished as an elite coach, Roma are nothing special in Seria A either. We won't get Carlo back, and I don't want Conte back either, if we're going to do anything in Europe.
  2. Loved both these strikers, but I don't think Jimmy would put up with lack of service from our midfield, he'd have given today's midfield blue murder for their quality of passing.
  3. Marmite, you either love it or hate it , and I bloody hate it! Absolutely vile stuff., I wouldn't clean my shoes with it!
  4. Another defeat! This is getting too much to take! Brighton made us look right mugs, even our goal was flukey. If it wasn't for Kepa we would have been even more embarrassed, we're so slow and ponderous in possession, we take too many touches before releasing the ball, and when we get to the edge of the penalty area all we do is play crappy one-two's which never come off. It's high time TB started bringing in some proper football people to the club and stop thinking he knows better, I'm sorry, but TB doesn't have a clue, he thinks Sheffield Wednesday is a Bank Holiday! We need to sell about 7 or 8 plyers and try bring in quality over quantity. SORT IT OUT!!!!
  5. Seconded. As well as the cruelty, I'm not giving any money to parasites (bookies to you and me) As a kid, when it came on World Of Sport I used to change channels.
  6. In fairness, we always used to win at that s***hole
  7. I'm not. Sick of seeing the same old teams going up and down like a see-saw. Sheff Utd also look as good as promoted too. Blackpool have sacked the old dinosaur that is Mick McCarthy as well, why do clubs insist on giving him a job? He's finished as a manager. Hope the odious Neil Warnock gets relegated as well, he isn't as good as he or his apologists think he is.
  8. Welcome back club legend, albeit temporarily. Proper Chels and a bright intelligent man. I'd rather him than some other people I could mention. Good luck for the rest of the season Frank!
  9. Another bloody 0-0 against a mediocre Liverpool side. Enzo, Kante, Fofana, James and Chilwell were good. Felix The Cat was good in some moments, but seems to flit in and out of games. Kovacic should be sold in the summer, we need a midfielder who can score goals (ie a Lampard, Ballack or even a Gavin Peacock). Havertz? What does he have to do to be dropped? He's making Chris Sutton look good, and boy that takes some doing! It's like playing with 10 men even with him on the pitch. And get rid of Auba as well, we were better off buying an aubergine instead!
  10. RIP Ray Wilkins. A class act as a player coach and a man. As the banner at the Bridge says "They don't make them like Ray anymore"
  11. Bring back centre forwards, sod these "false No 9's"! Why so many clubs insist on playing false No 9's instead of centre forwards, when they don't have the players to do it is just ridiculous.
  12. Yup. The filth (written press to you and me) is full of bitter Gooners, jealous of our success, and the fact we have won 2 UCL''s, which they never have (and probably never will) win. I despise them all (John Cross, Amy Lawrence, Piers Morgan, Matt Scott, Alan Davies (5th rate comedian). they all make me sick.
  13. He's just bitter that we sold him just when we were becoming a good team, and we replaced him with the far superior Poyet. Burley is just an attention seeking oxygen thief, whose opinions aren't worthy of consideration. Ignore the to55er.
  14. Neither am I. I saw the way Spain played against Morocco in the World Cup, and they deserved to lose because all they did was pass the ball to death without creating anything, they put no crosses into the box at all, it was no different to what we've been seeing for 5 years or so.
  15. He won't. He's past it. Finished. Kaputt. Over the hill. A bloody dinosaur stuck in a time warp. I'm a firm believer in if you leave a club, you should never go back. If we must go for an ex-manager, why not Ancelotti? Much more modern and still a serial winner, not a has=been like JM.
  16. Not only that, Geoff Hurst also brought in the unpopular Bobby Gould as his assistant, and some years later when John Neal was forced to quit due to ill health, John Hollins brought in the awful Ernie Whalley who was despised by every player during the Hollins reign and they turned us into a long ball tema like Watford and Wimbledon, and in the end we got relegated, although before we went down they were both sacked. Horrible memories indeed!
  17. This could be a game best watched on Ceefax, Wolves for me are probably the dullest, most boring side in the PL, and a lot of our games against them were best watched on Ceefax! Hopefully our forwards can find their shooting boots.
  18. Not looking forward to this. I can only hope they play like they did on Saturday.......
  19. Googled "Cfcnet closed down" and found this link.
  20. Hmmmm. I look at the options and I would probably pump for Naglesmann. However I certaninly know who I don't want. Bruno Saltor, who? Brendan Rodgers? Better off employing Buck Rodgers! Luis Enrique? Just a Graham Potter with a degree, plays endless passing football with no end product, as we saw in the World Cup with Spain. Zidane? Can't coach to save his life outside his Real Madrid cushy number. Pochettino? A serial choker and loser. Mourinho? Conte? Never go back to your toxic ex-lover. Simeone? Doesn't watn to to com here, and his football is awful to watch. Postecoglu? Do me a favour, he's in a pub league, and winning league titles in a pub league isn't worthy of consideration. JT? Love him to bits, proper Chelsea legend, but he has no managerial experience, and after seeing what happened to Robbie and Frank, it would hurt to see another legend being sacked.
  21. Desperately wanted GP to succeed, but unfortunately it has ended in tears. Boehley is making himself look silly with some of his decisions, he should bring in some people with good football knowledge to help him. We must make the right choice to succeed Potter, otherwise we are well and truly in the brown stuff.
  22. Not so much welcome but welcome back. I thought this site closed down but is very much alive and kicking. Great to be back.
