  1. OK..Peace Brothers...lets move the Dog divisiness over to the appropriate forum!
  2. That'll be Cleckheaton?..... bringing back a lot of really old fond memories including a couple of games at Huddersfield (old ground)
  3. Get your point and agree mostly but a real working terrier is not your yappy lap dog ,,,apologies to Mark can see your mob are not all mouth and trousers!,,,character beats yappy every time. OK Jane is watching us closely but an OG relevant "war story" (well chara judged relevant!) ...me and my mate Pete at a clunky dance place in Kingsbury,,,some younger guys we knew came up and asked us if we would "help" them in a "discussion" with a mean bunch from the wilds of Neasden..wandered along to find we were confronting what seemed like a bunch of soppy 14 year old...the Husky/GS response with shaking heads!
  4. Nearly...legendary little border/lakeland cross terrier..Rusty,,,they did fox clearance for farmers,,,a bounty back at that time for a tail....and a demon on the domino battlefield !!
  5. Ah,,A yorkie,,,now there was a bar!
  6. Indeed ! Long time ago but I did ok as I recall,,cetainly we won but I think I conceded a goal,,not an error but what I do recall,,funny what you do..was a mouthy little kid behind the goal giving me stick for the goal,,,but my mate did give me Yokshire barely a grunt good game comment..like a Word from the Gods!๐Ÿ˜†
  7. Strangely enough I have actually been there..had a friend in Halifax,,,great local famed cricketer and CH...at Halifax as a kid but being a stubborn Yorkshire lad left because he wasn't prepared to clean other player's boots. One visit,"Bring your boots,,,might get you a game in our reserves or third team",,,he was a near vet at that time..."Got your boots lad?,,we are both in the first team,"..Thanks a lot!....deep end stuff!!!
  8. @Chelsea_Matt... nice post have to agree...question....why are so many posters afraid..it seems..that Jose (or such) would upset the aptly named dolly mixtures? It's a grown ups game....not 8 year old scrambles...huge payday and for me it's put up or shut up...do your job and take the demands...not shrug them off.
  9. @Sciatika...wise words as ever.
  10. As I suspect you well know for me it's not a case of Mudryk v Sir J...... as I said..a wastrel of a player and exactly the sort of player Chelsea do not want...as inspirational as flat beer and the leadership of a lemming.
  11. Interesting given that Chelsea /Burnley was the first game I saw at SB..But No...merely an echo of "The Wild Rover" that wandered in as I posted!๐Ÿป๐Ÿบ........ more a White Rose sort of guy not the Red Rose lot, Spent a bit of time around Halifax back in the day...as they say...Between Hell, Hull and Halifax!
  12. In what universe would Grealish benefit Chelsea?....from Saviour Of The English Game at Villa to carefully handled (discipline?) at Citeh with just the "usual" (envied) Citeh well managed bit part role approach. A wastrel of a player...the commitment to his trade is that of a jelly fish running a market stall. No Nay Never!
  13. @Blue Moon...Bad enough BM...just realised but again I have a self inflicted error meaning I miss yet another game due to a long term Clinic Appt...not me but Mrs C for a non urgent but necessarily long way out booking for Sunday am...a quick scan thing ..that's three out of the last four games!...it's 100 mile round trip..normal Colorado but not one Mrs C needs to drive to.....sigh.๐Ÿฉบ
  14. Coaches/managers and keepers across the board but specifically in the EPL..... apart from two coaches and two keepers the standard is pretty average and not much,if anything. to be gained from bringing in a coach or keeper from that pool.
  15. @RDCW..... That is about the nicest, most humbling accolade I could receive๐Ÿ™.... ..............(Yeah past my prime but still trying to make a difference๐Ÿ˜†)
  16. Maybe Chelsea should pay more attention to who Manure target?
  17. @boratsbrother...as ever..differences of views are what makes this forum interesting ...In a mild defence I really was trying to say that what ever the immediate attainable level as apparent at any time is what I expect any coach to achieve....not aimed at The Poch so much as any coach...that I happen to think The Poch will never be better (or worse) is just my humble opinion. The keeper issues I stay away from these days...but if Cole had scored the second Villa goal NO ONE would have been talking about a keeper error. I appreciate my post being read and commented on...
  18. CHO was always able to shine in spurts...and of course the injury issue clouded what might have been but even in the early days I always got the feeling he was a could be/should be player but a "will he?: question ever in the back of my mind. (Not an unusual view of an upcoming player but,,,)
  19. Hmm..over here we have to variety of choices now...being a traditionist I stick to the basic KK,,,not all change is good! Side note..when Mrs C and I reconnected 12 years ago one of my deal breaking/sealing questions was "How do you eat Kit Kat.?...puzzled but answered correctly..(another question was "Micky Mouse or Bugsy"?)
  20. @My Blood Is Blue...local area off line since yesterday mid day'ish so a bit "need my morning fix"...what do we want etc? Me...I want a coach who is able to take the squad as it will be at the start of next season...to the level of it's attainable success...if it is a top four squad..that's what I want to see,,,if it is a 5-8 squad that is what I want to see accomplished...and on a consistent basis not by default...leading to and showing aa positive progressive way forward however slowly but apparent. And I want to be able to smile after games..on my own and with all here...laugh at the likes of Kalou and Kezman with affection not malice...accept the good fortune and bounces and the "injustices" of the game with equal fortitude...feel I am watching My Chelsea not some IT produced look alike cut outs wearing the right colours and a bland not bad but not good coach...too much to ask for?
  21. Hey guys,,,the general consensus across the Forum is that The Poch is not up to the job at Chelsea,,the opinions of members cover a wide spectrum of reasons as seen by individuals,,,he is not the absolute fraud Potter was nor the victim of a character/professional unreasonable hatchet job.
  22. Now CM...you are overthinking it again!๐Ÿ˜ผ๐ŸŽ“๐Ÿ“ˆ
  23. Oh My God...and the Great GW debate of '24 was considered beyond the fringe,,this is the final proof of the End of Worlds portent. Please mods ..let not poor NB see this..I beg you.
