  1. This is why I am fucking loving this team!!!!!!! Just mad! Enough to drive you to drink though🙂
  2. They mentioned Sterling has scored a wacking 6 goals in his last 42 league games. At £300k a week he makes the Lukaku disater look good value for money. Just about to post this and...😀
  3. "out of Petrovich's reach" says the commentator. Everything is out of his reach these days. So slow to move and never seems to get to anything that isn't straight at him. That said. They fully deserve to win this!
  4. What a bloody waste! At least we are playing a bit better now.
  5. Commentators noting the Chelsea players being so static when in possession. They've worked as hard as possible the previous 3 games but not at it at all today. I wonder if Poch's comments have had an effect on them?
  6. We score enough, it's the other end which is costing us far too many points. CB and better keeper is essential. Have to be honest and say I've been disappointed with the way Petrovich has fallen away. I'd even prefer Sanchez in goal if he was fit.
  7. Why not? I've said many, many times there's going to be many more poor performances before this team is where we want it to be. I accept that, you and everyone else doesn't. Will you demand the next one to come in and hit the ground running in their first season sort everything out in that season? If you do then fine, but if you don't then you are being very unfair.
  8. I've said it a number of times, Poch will never be more than a bad performance away for this to crop up .
  9. We don't have a comanding, mouthy CB. We'll continue to struggle until we find one.
  10. He's had two good games and now back to being shite again. Strange mentality. Look certain to lose playing like this!
  11. One of those bad days when we look all over the place. Whoever is manager next season, that defence needs serious work on it. Too often undone our good work up front.
  12. CHO definitely looks a yard quicker than he has been for a long time.
  13. Can we please stop fannying about with the ball in dangerous areas!!!
  14. He badly needed that goal and took it very well.
  15. There's no point in me going backwards and forwards talking about TT. I'm never going to convince anyone that the majority of football played under him was shit on a stick football and nobody is going to convince me it was great. Takes me back to an argument I used to have with my brother about the second Stone Roses album. We both thought the first one was a classic, but I thought the second one was absolute tripe from first track to last while my brother thought it was a brilliant album. We both have a lot of similar tastes but on this occasion we couldn't be further apart.
  16. Again, simply not true! All season there's been signs of better things to come if given the time. We outplayed Arsenal for 70 mins. Caused City no end of problems in the 4-4:draw. Good draw away too Outplayed Villa in the Cup. Thrashed Newcastle. Played some great football against Utd, followed by rubbish but then faught back and won when it looked like we'd lost. You also say the injuries have done him a massive favour. Quite astonishing you say that about a manager who's had to deal with our worst every injury crisis. Never once been able to field a first choice 11.
  17. He did not say it was "more about him being happy" He very clearly said it was a case of if the owners are happy, if the sporting director is happy OR if he is happy, to which he added that he is not saying that he isn't happy. I'm with Gabriel Marcotti on whether Poch stays or not. It should have nothing to do with the final three games and European qualification. He's either doing a good job or he isn't. He can be viewed to be doing a good job but not qualify for Europe but also not doing a good job and qualify for Europe. It's ridiculous to judge on the final three games
  18. We just have very different opinions about what is good football. I also must repeat that I am talking about TT winning the Premier League not cups and that I fully stand by my opinion (one which was very widely agreed with outside of the hsrdcore Cheksea fans) that we relied heavily on luck in too many games and our defenders winning a freakishly number of games which was never going go last. Neither James or Chilwell have come close to that level of form they showed over that first few months of that season. Just look at the teams who win or contend for the title these days. They all play very attacking football home and away against all opposition. Of course there'll be games when they are off their game, but the attacking game is one that they are coached to play week in week out. Regardless of whether or not Poch is here next season, his attacking style of football is the way forward if we ever want to win the title again. Relying on luck, spamming crosses into the box and defenders to win your games is not the way forward. That is humble opinion, but nothing more than that.
  19. No, even when we were top of the league under TT, i was saying we were not going to win the league playing that kind of football. Far too often we were being nailed out by James and Chilwell playing out of their skin and other defenders saving our arse in games. The opposition were missing shit loads of chances against us. The midfield had zero creativity and our only attacking ploys was spamming crosses into the box and deadball situations. The results were completely unsustainable and so it proved to be. The away game at Leicester when we won 3-0 was the only game I thought we looked real quality.
  20. As we know, these days the media is made up of a mixture of the journos, ex managers and players. They will generally praise any team who plays attacking, entertaining football. There is no bias against Chelsea or our managers. The Chelsea team of Vialli, Zola and co was popular with the media and also a lot of neutral fans. The current team is also being enjoyed by the media and an increasing number of nuetrals. Wengers Arsenal were popular with the media and nuetrals because they played great football at their peak Going way back George Graham's Arsenal were certainly not liked by the media or nuetral fans. Going further bsck. Utd's team of Best, Law and Charlton was popular. Some Spurs teams. Liverpool's team with John Barnes. The truly wonderful Brazilian team of 82 is much more loved and remembered than the winners of 82. So too the brilliant Dutch team of the 70's. Play entertaining football and you'll be liked by the media and most footbsll fans. Play shit on a stick football and you'll be liked by only those who support that particular team. I certainly wouldn't much good to say about Jose and TT's time at Chelsea if there wasn't the trophies to compensate for putting up with the grinding, sterlie dross they served up most weeks.
  21. Winning a cup is a completely different ball game to winning the Premier League. You also take a very small sample size against one club. The worst Utd team in living memory had twice done Liverpool this season. Does that mean Ten Hag is a better than Klopp? Of course not because any results results are possible in this league over a small number of games. I'll be forever thankful to TT for winning us another CL, but we were not going anywhere fast with him in the league and I have to be honest I was pretty bored a lot of the time watching his very safe, pragmatic football. I thought our midfield play was slow, sterlie and tedious and our attacking play just as poor a lot of the time. I've always preferred managers who's teams played with fair and were attack minded over those who are grinders and pragmatic. Football has never been just about winning to me.
  22. Made more difficult by the football played in our league being different from other countries. TB talked about KK finding it difficult to adapt to playing here after playing in Italy for so long. KK said the main difference was, playing in Italy you had time to think before you ran while over here you have to think while you run.
  23. We'd have a snowball in hell's chance of winning the title playing his football.
