  1. I studied at Surrey Uni in those days and the Union were able to get some really iconic gigs organised. Possibly the nadir however was when Gary Glitter played and at the end off the gig disappeared on campus to shag one of the students and the next morning was seen trudging across campus, still in his glitter suit and stack heels, on the walk of shame back to a car.
  2. Gusto back in training after what looked like a significant injury in the last match. If he starts I'm putting money on him aggravating a season ending injury. Pochettino needs to swallow his pride and put Silva back in for this one. Our defense has been so unstable for the last couple of months and we need the stability his presence gives. God knows which team turns up on the night (for both sides to be honest) but it's odds on the Mount will be back to haunt us. I just hope we don't give him the acclaim of booing him. He deserves nothing but our silence. I can see a win for us where everything clicks although equally I can imagine a turgid boring draw where both sides sign up to risking nothing on the night. Most worrying of all however I can see United getting an early goal, our supporters turning on the club, and things going downhill to a humiliating loss. Who'd be a Chelsea fan, or should I say a fan of BlueCo 2022 FC?
  3. I believe we should petition the club to change it's name especially as it has literally nothing in common with that which won the Champions League aside from the stadium in which it plays its home matches.
  4. Takes a Frenchman to sum up our situation. Can't disagree with a word spoken. No it's not the manager's fault that these players were bought in but it is his job to improve them as a collective and he clearly hasn't. We should have won with a hatfull of goals, especially after the two red cards but instead we were lucky to get a point that we really didn't deserve. We're an embarrassment from top to bottom.
  5. Pochettino has the same win % as AVB over the same number of games at which point the latter was sacked.
  6. We were complacent and inept. An unhealthy mix. No doubt the manager will blame the international break, like it doesn't affect other clubs. The players that went away will have been relieved to see that they could rely on their team mates and when they came back to Cobham they will have forgotten that they can't depend on the other players on the pitch at all. For all those saying we will be ok in three years, who are they kidding? Are the rest of the clubs in the league going to stop and wait for us to catch up? Of course they're not. We are going to have our faces planted firmly in the mud as time moves on. Slowly but surely the allure of playing for Chelsea is going to tarnish and we are going to become just another mid table club flirting occasionally with relegation. Newcastle are showing that no longer can you spend money to immediately become title contenders. We have got a squad of injury prone kids with no leadership and their confidence is going to erode as the years roll on. Our defense is unsettled and ineffective, our forwards are unimaginative and ineffective and our midfield is incapable of controlling a game. There is nothing to build on. We may as well sell Gallagher in June as there's nothing for him here now.
  7. Well our xG was quite good so that's ok.
  8. Not to worry though, we're top 4 according to Pochettino.
  9. 2-2 against 10 man Burnley who don't even have a manager. Fuck me but we're spineless.
  10. Been quite nice not stressing over football for a fortnight. Deep breath, ok final lap, let's start off with a win and see where we end up.
  11. I don't know mate keeping up to date with those cars, watches and tattoos doesn't come cheap and their WAGs will still expect a private plane for their quarterly holidays to the Maldives.
  12. They still just call him Jack though the same way they call TAA Trent. How these players have earned the right to be known by just their first name is beyond me. The national team will be following Brazil next and just putting one name on the shirt.
  13. Love it that the media just now seems to have found out about this while we all seemed to know about the agreement 2 years ago.
  14. To be perfectly honest I don't see the point of sacking him because of the lack of viable alternatives. However I retain my right to criticise him and the players when necessary.
  15. https://www.reddit.com/r/chelseafc/s/u2q2B3eRJe What a top bloke.
  16. Steady on guy, there's paranoia then there's Paranoia 😄 Personally I'd far prefer to meet City in the semis then Cov in the final. We're much more likely to screw up in the final when Pochettino get's all sweaty thinking about actually winning a trophy and sends us out to play for penalties from kickoff. We'd have a chance against Coventry City.
  17. Just been loking back at the game and Madueke's goal reminded me of something. The way he fended off the Leicester defender was reminiscent of Hazard's goal against Arsenal when he left half their team in a heap when he ran it in from the half way line. Noni could have gone down but he kept going and got his reward. Unlike Sterling.
  18. BBC "pundits" criticising our fans for booing Sterling. Clearly they've not lived through the last couple of years with him.
  19. Clearly the manager told us to play for penalties at half time. No point risking things.
