  1. I'll say it now. I can't see us scoring again.
  2. Both centre backs at fault for goals and yet we need to boot out Silva?
  3. Sterling can be such a lazy player. Gallagher routinely runs 10+k a game. I reckon Sterling maybe ambles 2~3k and never closes down.
  4. No, that is from the same stable as the nose strip, sports tape or Vicks smear on the shirt.
  5. I thnik I've worked out why we're generally so shit. The numbers on the back of the shirts are gold. When we had the gold numbers after winning the CL we always had a poor following season. Why aren't the numbers white?
  6. Mudryk has been taken by surprise by passes to him a number of times now. When is he going to switch on his brain?
  7. I think Fernandez has been watching a replay of the 1970 final
  8. The number of times already that Gilchrist receives the ball on the left but there is no-one overlapping to pass to. Mudryk? Sterling?
  9. Yup. Standard. Well set up my the manager..."go out and fanny around the edge of the box" We'd be better off without a manager tbh.
  10. "Sky Sports are reporting that Liverpool are to be stripped of the Carabao Cup as several of the players tested positive for Calpol." We're so inconsequential and irrelevant that even the memes are wholesome.
  11. What happened to that kiwi guy that was supposed to make us into the All Blacks? That went well didn't it?
  12. I think a manager can be held responsible for player inconsistency. It's about developing a winning mentality. If you go out on the pitch with the belief that you are better than the opposition and that you are going to win then more often than not you will win. Of course there is a fine line before you trip over into complacency but that is what the manager it paid for. There was a saying back home in Wales in the 1970s that you may score more points than the national rugby team but you would never beat them. You always had the belief that they would come back from any losing position and eventually win and it was hugely surprising if they didn't. Much like the mentality bred into our squad by Mourinho. Pochettino will never provide that belief.
  13. It occurs to me that we've reached the point of being an inconsequential football club. The only people left that now care about our results or our performances are we the supporters. Twenty years ago if we'd produced that performance we would have been ridiculed by the media and opposition fans. Now, no-one cares. Whether we win the odd game or else hopelessly underperform it is generally ignored. We've become a club that is in no danger of being in the final reckoning. We have deteriorated as a club to the point where no-one considers us contenders, and rightly so. What is scarey however is how quickly this has occurred. From World Club champions three years ago to this. Cracks were beginning to show, sure, in the latter days of Roman's tenure. However he had the sense to employ the correct people around him to sort it out. It was telling however that those cracks began when he was first targetted by the UK government and evicted from the UK. Things went from the club being run by a benevolent dictator to control by committee to some degree. Now we have an ownership that thought, incorrectly, that it knew how to set up a club from the ground floor after it had been gutted by a PC government. The club is now built on shifting sand and lurches from one crisis to the next with no visible leadership either at board level or on the pitch. If we do eventually implode I fear I won't see any rennaisance in my lifetime. I lived through it in the 70s/80s and remember crying when we finally won the FA Cup again in 1997, it's first real silverware since the days of Osgood, Cooke and Hudson. Gone are those days. We're now just inconsequential and mediocre with no immediate likelyhood of redemption.
  14. Mate, that ain't happening. This was our season. This one, single game. I fully expect us to lose to Leeds with Pochettino blaming the precious little snowflakes not having enough time to recover after yesterday. We've got a squad of loser players being led by a cowardly manager that would seek to avoid defeat rather than attempt to win. We don't deserve anything from this season. And you know what? We won't achieve anything
  15. Nice guys finish last. We need to employ a real bastard of a manager. One that teaches the players how to win.
  16. We've scored zero goals in 360 minutes of League Cup finals. I'd rather not seek to extend that record until our players are taught how to score a goal.
  17. How can we seriously defend our performance this way? The media will always have their bias against our club. The point is our kids cost us a rich man's fortune while theirs were essentially home grown. Age is irrelevant. Our approach and application were what lost us this game. If we lose midweek maybe it will hasten the inevitable. We need a manager that will engender a winning mentality. A team that expects rather than hopes. We are pathetic, top to bottom.
