  1. Just as a matter of interest who was handed the armband after Gallagher and Chilwell went off? Who was the captain for that last corner?
  2. All our "best" players are now exhausted after 120 minutes. We will lose this. No doubt.
  3. And do you know what? For all the blame that you can attach to the players, and rightly so, it IS just like watching Spurs play and that is down to the manager. The more teenagers Klopp brought on it became more and more evident that we were going to lose because we do not have a winner at the club. Not the players and certainly not the manager.
  4. And when he arrives he can just continue fucking off.
  5. To be honest the entire team were out on their legs. Tomorrow all the players, management team and board members should be paraded naked along the Fulham Road, smeared in their own excrement, while Hannah Waddingham follows then with a large bell shouting shame. I've never been so ashamed of our club.
  6. Written in the stars. It's what you get when the Spurs manager tells you to play for penalties. We are an embarrassment. Billion pound bottle jobs. I'm done.
  7. Can't even break down the Scum Schoolboy XI. Embarrassing.
  8. So dawns the day of the cup final and I've already had to resort to Radio 3 as all other stations are intent on focusing on the Klopp farewell tour and how he "deserves" to leave having won everything on offer. Not sure if I can even bring myself to watch or listen to the game in case I vomit over the new carpet listening to the commentary.
  9. Unless the manager decides to go three at the back and opt for the defensive approach because that's always been successful in the past.
  10. I wonder who will be the first person on here to call for us to sign him up again?
  11. I think you need to add the manager into that list too. He was all too ready to go defensive. He did it far too early and we ended up conceding, at which point we no longer had the players on the pitch to go looking for a winner. The players are beginning to believe in themselves, unfortunately we have a Spurs manager who considers a point away to the champions is a win.
  12. Holy crap. Are we actually beginning to see progress? If we had scored that second goal I think we would have ended up winning. On the flip side Haaland might have scored a hattrick and Chalobah might have ended up with two deflected goals. On balance I would have taken a draw however what killed our win in the end was the lack of a bench.
  13. Interesting listen once they get beyond the hoity toity esoteric questions.
  14. I don't know Droy, the whole booking players for celebrating "too much" or removing their shirts so that the sponsors lose screen time is anathema for me in the first place. The fact that the introduction of VAR has made even the scoring of goals a delayed response for the fans has gone a further step down the destruction of the game. Maybe the fact we were "let off" by the letter of the law is more a commonsense approach by the referee. The celebrations were hardly an incitement to violence but rather an exhuberant expression of unbridled joy by both players and fans. Let's hope that is never removed from the game.
  15. I think it's a mistake to go about blaming everything on individuals as the poor performances get shared about fairly evenly and we just end up looking foolish when we bleat on about the only reason we're not top 4 is because of x or y. The main reason for the inconsistencies is the lack of experienced leaders and that is evident whoever ends up starting the game. I don't know that there's anyone in the squad capable of stepping up in time either.
  16. I'm sure the media and the rest of the league will hate it but it's nice to see some passion from our players.
  17. Well you know what they say about a broken clock.
  18. At our club that should be a good thing. Can't think of an effective #9 since Costa or Drogba.
  19. I agree although it beggars belief how the manager sets us up at the start of some games. It shouldn't have taken a half time team talk to gee us up in this game. Just shows we don't have the leadership on the pitch.
  20. I missed the half time delay as I was walking the dogs. What was it our fans were singing?
