Michael Tucker Posted January 22, 2023 Posted January 22, 2023 First cab off the rank for the new forums is Chelsea vs Liverpool. Sunday 22nd January, 11:20 pm. Should be a cracker - go Sam!!
RDCW Posted January 22, 2023 Posted January 22, 2023 We need to avenge that 1st week aberration against the dipper women! Fran Kirby is back too. Having watched quite a few of the games I don't rate our compatriot Sophie Ingle in our midfield. Maybe she's a better central defender.
Michael Tucker Posted January 22, 2023 Author Posted January 22, 2023 Match Postponed! Condition of the pitch deemed unsafe.

Bob Singleton Posted January 22, 2023 Posted January 22, 2023 Free hotdog for everyone at the next game, though... courtesy of Emma Hayes!

RDCW Posted January 29, 2023 Posted January 29, 2023 A little bit shaky in defence! Good to see Melanie Leupolz back. 1
Michael Tucker Posted January 30, 2023 Author Posted January 30, 2023 Very happy that we have Sam Kerr. What.  A.  Player.  1
My Blood Is Blue Posted February 5, 2023 Posted February 5, 2023 Another win for the women today and a lovely goal from Lauren James… that’s a talented football family! 1
RDCW Posted February 5, 2023 Posted February 5, 2023 Good to win, but not a great performance, apart from James' cracking goal. The normally dependable Millie Bright had a shocker today!
Sciatika Posted February 9, 2023 Posted February 9, 2023 (edited) Not the WSL, but Cont Cup Semifinal against West Ham just about to start on BBC website. 0-1 Sam Kerr (assist Reiten FK) after 3 minutes. 0-2 Fran Kirby (assist James) after 10 Edited February 9, 2023 by Sciatika 1
Michael Tucker Posted February 9, 2023 Author Posted February 9, 2023 Another stunning performance from the ladies! That Sam Kerr his really something else (but she has a lot of mates in that team)!
thevelourfog Posted March 5, 2023 Posted March 5, 2023 On my way back from Selhurst Park ... Very uncharacteristically poor today. Each Arsenal goal came from a completely avoidable error, but they were vastly superior when it came to territory. They played high up and bravely, penned us entirely in our own half and left us completely dependent on a lump to Kerr or James doing something incredible. Ingle in particular had a nightmare. They were good value for their win. Very similar to last year's league cup final, in fact. Hopefully a big response in the next two league games, which really do shape where the title goes. 2 2

Millie Bright has been awful these last few months. Â
jasonb Posted March 5, 2023 Posted March 5, 2023 I watched a fair amount of it. Kerr was isolated and Reiten was the only one that could get forward to support. James did not have a good game at all hardly on the ball and though did win some free kicks. I thought McCabe of Arsenal was very clever in winning the penalty and getting some of our players booked. Arsenal really did close us down well and restrict us in midfield.
Michael Tucker Posted March 5, 2023 Author Posted March 5, 2023 My guess is that after Kerr's early opener, the players thought that they could go through the motions and win comfortably. And they played like it! Awful performance. Emma will not be best pleased!
