Sciatika
@Dwmh But the next few games are difficult ones. After those, we won't have to play Liverpool, City, Arsenal, Spurs or Newcastle again. Even if you are right about the seven points, we would expect to pick up more after that because they would be, on average, weaker teams. It's probably not worth the effort of trying to predict those, though. Edited January 25 by Sciatika

Another way to think about it is in the first games against that 5 we picked up 5 points: W1D3L1 8 of the other 12 teams we have still to play beat us first time around. Yes, it is a tougher run which has followed the easier recent run, and will be interspersed with additional cup games Villa and Liverpool (which if I recall means the Spurs game will be postponed). The issue is whether the recent confidence of players and fans will hold out.

This reminds me what you said before Arsenal home, Spurs away Spurs away, City home, Newcastle away and that we'd lose them all. 2 hours ago, Dwmh said: Taking us to 38 points from 28 games, on course for 52 points for the season. Taking a pro rata position after a run of hard games is as daft as it is after a run of easy games 2 hours ago, Dwmh said: The real question being whether we can finish like we did in the 2nd leg and the Luton game, or we go back to the way we finished earlier in the seaso or even as recently as the first leg 2 games earlier.
