  • JaneB changed the title to Chelsea 6 Middlesbrough 1 (6 - 2 on aggregate)

Well that was easier than I thought it would be. Good to see Chilwell back. Palmer scored two good goals. Disasi has a touch of the Rudiger about him.

Villa will be a different proposition on Friday. Can’t see the manager preferring Mudryk over Gallagher for that one.

Initial thoughts,,the so much better balance with a "proper"LB...Palmer the "Havertz" we expected,,and deserved,,Is Silva a real human?...oh and Colwill near his correct position far more effective and less exposed.

Boro not the strongest opposition but as ever you have to beat what is front of you,,,the gap became more obvious as the game went on but still Chelsea had to overcome a goal deficit and a couple of iffy moments went Chelsea's way early on..couple of last man tackles that only just succeeded (all it takes though)...seem to remember Colwill and Silva but could be wrong.

The inexperience showed at the end..although done and dusted became too casual imho and some showboating when just needed to shut up shop,

BUT...great result and indeed ,,Wemberly Wemberly here we come.......all of us should become fairweather Fulham fans tomorrow although the Football Gods just might turn on the scouse lot if they get through and the Wembley rub they get!,,be about time,
