VAR checking offside from a corner?

I always thought you couldn't be offside from a corner?

Is it me or are they again looking for a reason to stop us?

I just checked this and it actually said

"it is impossible for an attacking player to be offside from a corner"

The ball was crossed, Silva headed it, it was impossible for him to be offside.

So, the question has to be " what the fucking hell were they playing at, other than looking for ways to cheat Chelsea again"

I've heard some inane bollocks from commentators before but Pearce was horrific.

He'd obviously prepared a script and he was sticking to it regardless,

Absolute rubbish from start to finish.

oh god! his commentating was terrible.

I actually thought during the first half he would give us his opinion on the WWI, then second half he just didnt give a sh1t anymore. Money we spent on players every other second, and then at the end. "4-0 doesnt tell the whole story" WTAF!!!

Not entirely sure why there is a narrative about the score being harsh on Preston. Looks about right to me...

There was only one brief moment at the end of the first half where we struggled with their pressure and crosses (a bit like against Luton) but we always looked like winning comfortably especially when they tired.

PNE were, to be fair, never really a threat. The risk was more from us not converting a chance and having a replay more than being knocked out today.

Second half was much better though and once the first went in, it looked like all the players wanted one and actually looked like quite a few of them could have got one.

Good result on the end and good minutes for Gilchrist.
