JaneB Posted April 7 Posted April 7 Please use this thread for all posts relating to our Premier League match against Everton at Stamford Bridge before, during and after the game. The match is scheduled to kick off at 20:00 hours on Monday, 15th April 2024 (Local UK time/date) (Live on Sky Sports)
My Blood Is Blue Posted April 8 Posted April 8 Not even looking forward to it. Even if we do get a result it will be painful viewing. I just want the season to be over and for us to move on from this manager. 3
Mark Kelly Posted April 8 Posted April 8 Balls spammed into the area , two banks of five , former cripple rizes like Lazarus to win the game for Everton against all odds , Poch out. 2
east lower Posted April 8 Posted April 8 Team who can't defend, and in particular can't defend set-pieces - Against team who score quite a number of their goals from them. Not looking too promising! Gonna be a turgid watch. 1
asvaberg Posted April 8 Posted April 8 Wanted: The tiny optimism that suddenly appeared at Stamford Bridge April 4th late evening, was lost April 7th evening. If found, please return to an appropriate Argentinian. 1

blueboy1905 Posted April 8 Posted April 8 Everton as a club must be furious at being deducted further points. I can imagine that it will give them the impetus to go all guns blazing and seek Premier league survival. Feel sorry for the next team to face them. Hope they have the fortitude to rebel eleven players with something to prove .... 🙄 Gulp !!! 1
bertles86 Posted April 8 Posted April 8 I'd like to see Gilchrist, Casadei and Washington for shits n giggles.

Sanchez Gusto - Disasi - Gilchrist - Cucurella Gallagher Casadei - Chuk Palmer - President 1 - President 7 (see if you know your US history - hehe) Not tried before - give it a try - we have NOTHING to lose now.

Sanchez and Disaster should be nowhere near the first team.

My Blood Is Blue Posted April 9 Posted April 9 If he wants to rotate again, I hope he at least keeps it balanced and gives those on the pitch the best chance to get a result, rather than putting 11 players out on the pitch and ignoring the positions they perform best in. I presume Gusto is back for this, which will make a big difference. I'd keep Badiashile out of the team as although we need height at set pieces against this lot, he has no brains, so he doesn't know how to use his height in this league, so stick with Silva as he's smart enough to know how to defend. I would go with: Petrovic Gusto - Disasi - Silva - Cucurella Enzo - Gallagher Palmer - Mudryk - Madueke Jackson I'm honestly expecting a defeat in this one. Everton will be so up for it and are fighting for survival. We should be fighting for a European spot, but the coach and players don't seem to have realised that yet. Even if we do get a result, it will be hard to celebrate too much after the recent dropped points against the bottom 2 sides. Sigh... One day closer to the season ending. 1 1
Sciatika Posted April 9 Posted April 9 Expecting Chilwell to be back. Not sure if I would sub him for Cucurella, though. 1
