Funnily enough they were our only loss in 04-05 (Anelka penalty).

Don’t think it’ll help us in anyway though.

City winning the league is the sort of default non-event I can tolerate, so I half hope we don't do something incredible. Or if we do, only after Arsenal and Liverpool both conspire to lose their weekend fixtures 0-10.

It's definitely the lesser of three evils to me , if they win it , it's meh , the others and there's a certain amount of angst attached

I was thinking this last week, but I have decided that I just want us to win. City have a game in hand and play Liverpool in March. If City lose the league, it will be their fault.

City have enough games left to do what they need to, after losing at home to us 🙂

At least getting beaten will put pressure on Arse and Kloppershite.

Honestly though if the players fight, scrap and play with pride and real commitment I won’t mind.

I just don’t want one of the gutless surrenders we’ve seen way, way too often since Todd ‘n’ Eggy took over.

Yes, there are ways to lose, and there are ways not to lose.

They are clearly better than us, but let's at least make them work hard for whatever they get

No Silva and now no Chukwuemeka either, does anyone know what happened to him? We surely have to start with Nkunku and not Madueke. Sanchez is back as well, hopefully he doesn't make it any further than the bench!

For all those like @Ham who bemoan our constant injuries, didn't the new ownership dismantle our entire existing medical staff? And while our injuries were bad before, haven't they got worse? Or am I missing something?

No I don't think they've gotten worse.

I'd say it's been consistently 8-12 players out. 

Let's not forget that not many were complaining about the medical team being broken up at the time.

I'm at the game today for another event in conjunction with the Canal Street Blues. Will be giving a talk alongside the Chelsea Pride chair to the Etihad Stewards. 

Good news is I get some free wine. Bad news is we will probably get smashed to pieces. The mitigating news is I will have wine while we get smashed to pieces.
