Where is this on?

I am told that it is on Sky Sports Main Event from 7.00pm
https://www.skysports.com/watch/football-on-sky/competitions/carabao-cup
But my Virgin box says that something else is on (ACN, Mali)

Can anyone with say a  Sky box confirm they can see it on the main event schedule?

The SKY look ahead schedule only looks exactly 7 days ahead on my SKY service and stopped at 5pm on the 23rd when I just looked, so I’ll look again at 9pm and post what info there is on the schedule then.

Do you think if i look on my Virgin box for Next Tuesday I might find it?

Feeling a bit of, well the cartoon explains it

I’ve christened them “home shirkers”.

Not going to make me popular but that’s what it seems like in the sector I operate in.

SKY Sports ME UHD (Channel 401 on Sky) or SKY Sports F’ball HD (Channel 403 on Sky).

Starts at 7pm.

I've said this before but the UHD channel quality is so so pristine compared to the HD channel and that's on my 10 year old HD TV. I can't imagine how good it will look on ac actual modern UHD TV.

Still got a Sky SD only package - might keep it till we start doing better.  But yeah, TNT/BT UHD looks amazing

Better off paying 50 quid for the year for everything, and more.

UHD is the biz and TNT’s seems to usurp SKY to my eye.

There’s a very discernible difference as opposed to HD. I actually struggle to watch a game in standard definition now, spoiled I suppose,

Completely agree. SD is unwatchable for me now. UHD on the right TV is really impressive and TNT do seemed to have nailed it as you say.

BT/TNT has always been levels above Sky for quality of image on football.

The only exception on Sky is NFL which, even in normal HD, was always better than any other sports on Sky.

Not only can I only watch stuff in UHD now but I also insist on 5.1 surround sound too.

Quite a lot of pressure building for this game. Win and we are in a final which is above most pre-season expectations. Lose and the din will be very ugly.

I repeat that he has to be sacked if we do not qualify for the final.

The funny thing is the HD channels don't even output at a good enough picture to fully take advantage of HDTVs. They output an interlaced picture at 1080i, which is half the detail of the 1080p HDTVs are capable of.

The first true taste of HD football has been with the UHD channels which output a progressive image at 2160p which finally allow HDTVs to fill their full 1080p lines of resolution.
